HOw long should you wait to change your earrings?

You have to keep them in for 6 weeks, but I would suggest keeping them in for a little longer, as peoples lobes have different healing times, some could be....let's say 2 weeks, others 6 months! =)

As an average for all people, I think you should wear the same gold-backed earrings for at least 3 weeks, then you can change to other gold-backed earrings. Wear gold-backed earrings for 2-3 months. If your ears don't look ready, wait another month or two. Finally, you can wear other earrings and your ears should be fine.

A website where you can buy earrings for a rook piercing?

BAF is my favorite. Unfortunately, you just missed yesterday's sale. Anyways, they ship super quickly, have good quality stuff, and a large variety. You can try piercedfish too though a lot of their stuff is externally threaded. Body candy has really pretty and cheap stuff but they have limited diameters for rings. Their CBR's are really pretty and cheap. I haven't bought from them yet but plan to and have heard good things about them! I'll post the links below.

It's also important to ensure that any earrings, magnetic or otherwise, are clean and properly maintained to minimize the risk of infection. You don't wear tapers as jewelry. They thin out the middle of your lobe which may stop you from stretching up later. If you're at 12ga, you buy a 10ga taper. You only need one because after you use it for stretching up, you put a plug in.

Do fake plug earrings fit in standard holes?

yes any kind of fake earrings will fit, even pinchers could fit.but i suggest get the real ones way cooler and you wont be considered a poser(no offence) plus real plugs come in way more colors and styles amd they donnt hurt a bit trust me.

^ that is horrible advice, listen. They faux plugs do have that abilty to mimick gauged lobes, however they have a point that is can sometimes be very much noticeable. If you have a thin ear lobe then I suggest not getting them at all, and don't get any big big ones. If you have thin ear lobes it'll be completely noticable that your ears are not stretched, just trust me my friend wears thems and she has very thin lobes-it looks horrible. Don't get big faux plugs because if theyre too big and your piercing is placed low on your ear lobe than the faux plug effect doesn't even happen, it'll just look like a big earring face.

Which is thicker 10 gauge or 14 gauge earring?

A 10 gauge earring is thicker than a 14 gauge earring. In the gauge system, a lower number indicates a thicker wire, so 10 gauge (approximately 2.59 mm in diameter) is thicker than 14 gauge (approximately 1.63 mm in diameter). Therefore, if you're choosing between the two for piercings, the 10 gauge will create a larger hole than the 14 gauge.
