Yes you can! I live in Dallas, TX and receive food stamps because I am disabled. I have purchased cold fried or rosated chicken from Tom Thumb, Kroger, Albertsons, etc.

These grocery stores put special stickers on the food items and you can use your food stamps card. I may buy 1 cold chicken item per month, but not more than than because these food items can cost $5.00 or more.

Well in my case I've been waiting since July 19th and today's August 17 and I still haven't received it even though they quote you 5-7 business days. NOT!

Food Stamps is a FEDERAL program (not a state program as I have seen people mistakenly answer) and you can use your benefits in any state.

Have not tried it yet, but have called around to several places and they said it would work as long as the store supports the quest logo on back of card.
