In the United States, Electronic Benefit Transfer ("EBT") cards are a form of ID issued by state governments to facilitate the payment of benefits from federal and state-run needs-based public assistance programs. They are currently used for distributing benefits under programs such as TANF (commonly called "Welfare") and SNAP (commonly called "food stamps"), although their use could be expanded to other programs in the future as paper vouchers and checks become obsolete.

Can you buy diapers with a EBT card in Florida?
No, not unless you get cash benefit as well. I only receive food benefits and I cannot purchase diapers. Though, if you go to a store that accepts returns without receipts, you can purchase an item on your ebt car in the amount of the diapers, or close to it, and then return it for a gift card or just exchange it for a pack of diapers, but remember not to use a receipt. Try Target or Wal-mart.
Can you use coupons and insurance for prescriptions?
No, you can use your insurance card for your prescriptions. But prescription medicine doesn't have coupons available because of the nature of how insurance functions. Although you can use coupons on over the counter medicine.
Is an EBT card filled exactly at midnight in Washington state?
Yes, its filled at midnight and where there is a holiday in effect it's filled the day before in observance of the holiday
Yes, they do! And better yet, some of their food items qualify for extra care bucks to be given back to you. I do two separate transactions and use the extra care bucks for medicine (as long as it is over the counter and not prescription) for my family or household items like toilet tissue and cleaning supplies.

Does san antonio restaurants accept food ebt cards?
You can't use your food ebt accounts to purchase hot prepared food, or fast food. Unless you are homeless. I that case, at certain fast food restaurants, which have made arrangements with the Food and Nutrition Services, that restaurant can accept ebt food cards for purchasing discounted food.
This is a newly added regulation to help homeless people get fed. I haven't been able to find any information on just how the restaurant knows that the person presenting the ebt card is homeless, and I'm sure that the FNS isn't putting out that information on purpose.

However, if you have Cash Benefits loaded onto your ebt card (generally, I get my cash benefits from receiving Low Income Energy Assistance--although, I think some get their monthly cash added to their ebt cards, but I'm not too sure about that one), you can use your ebt as a debit card and withdraw the cash benefit out at a restaurant--but no using food benefits.
Can you buy paper products with an EBT card from FL?
No. According to a USDA SNAP webpage, these are some items you cannot buy with the EBT card:
- Beer, wine, liquor, cigarettes or tobacco
- Any nonfood items, such as:
- pet foods
- soaps, paper products
- household supplies
- Vitamins and medicines
- Food that will be eaten in the store
- Hot foods
- Energy drinks with a Supplement Facts label. (If it has a Nutrition Facts label, that is accepted.)
How do you apply for an EBT card in Hennepin County?
Go to Century Plaza, at 330 S. 12th St, in downtown Minneapolis. They are open Monday-Friday, until 5pm. The process takes a good couple of hours, so plan to arrive by early-afternoon at the latest.
