When Eminem was just a local artist he asked Insane Clown Posse if he could open up for them, He did it for 200$. Dr.Dre was at this show and this is how Em and Dre met. So obviously Dre would not have seen Eminem preform if it waznt for Shaggy and J ( ICP ). So a couple months or years ( i forget how long ) down the road Eminem is doing a show at Madison square garden. Insane Clown Posse walked up and said we will give you 200,000$ if you let us open up for you, Eminem said he had no idea who they were and to get out of his face, that let the beef> There is also i second theory behind the beef:Once again Eminem is only local, he was handing out fliers for a show that he was going to preform at, the flier said basic stuff like were, when all that stuff BUT at the bottom of the flier he had two names of other local Detroit Rap crews saying they were going to be their, One of which was ICP. And beside their name it read " Insane Clown Posse........Maybe " he walked up to violent J and Shaggy 2 dope and haded it to them and they got pissed because they diddnt like that he put their name on a flier and said maybe with out even talking to them. so they said they were not going to be their. Eminem got pissed and threw diss's at the crew, ICP responded with a remix song of my name is called slim anus. And it just went on and on.

Marshall Mathers (Eminem) released his last album"Encore" in 2004. however he has made numerous songs since that period. People claimed he was retiring from hip-hop music. but if you look at it carefully he never did.

Firstly, after his last album "Encore" Eminem started to promote other rappers (Bobby Creekwater, Stat Quo and Cashis.) he did this by producing and appearing in the album "Eminem Presents: The Re-up. Though the album was not intended to promote himself, he still was present almost all of the songs. this album was released in 2006. "No Apolgies" was a full track of him rapping. the album also included "Jimmy Crack Corn" which contianed Eminem & 50 Cent rapping.

In 2007, the song "Smack That" by Akon was number one in the charts for almost 11 weeks. This featured Eminem rapping in the second verse.

2008 December: Eminem announces he will be releasing an album "Relapse" in early 2009.

2009 Febuary: Song "Crack A Bottle" is released and reaches #4 in charts.

So in conclusion, Eminem never "left rapping". His best friend, Proof (a superb rapper) tragically died. He was recovering for a while and recorded privatley for a couple months. he took a little break and now he will be back into the limelight.
