It's SO easy to dress like and "emo kid" in Aussie! Shops like JayJays, Supre maybe some Bardot, Diva and Equip for the accessories. Though i wouldn't truly recommend attempting to dress 'emo'. Supre is not an emo type store, Dive and Equip arent either, all these stores have gone....how should i say...there more for girls who sleep around alot. and you gotta be super skinny to go to supre

Just Grow Your Hair To The Longest length You want It, , Get It Razord,Layerd Maybe Thinned And Cut very Choppy And Shortish On Top And Leave It Long Underneath On The Bottom (make Sure You Blend the Hair Together Though,Just Dont Get It Layerd As Much And Short On Bottom/Underneath, It Would Look Weird If You Had Short Layered Choppy Hair Then Dead Straight Long Hair.

"Emo" is a culture unto itself unless you want to caterorgierize it as a subculture of goth or punk. To answer your initial question emo started in the 60's with a band called Rites Of Spring. Or that's atleast when it really became known about.

A Goth is someone who's predominantly a fan of goth rock (Joy Division, Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Siouxsie and the Banshees etc)
and an Emo is someone who's predominantly a fan of Emotive Rock (American Football, Weezer etc).
A misconception about both subcultures is that they're based on a mindset or attitude (most people think emo stands for Emotional, when it doesn't. Most people think goths have to be dark and introspective).
You can't predominantly be a fan of two separate and unrelated music genres at the same time, although you can be an Emo who likes some Goth Rock, and a Goth who likes some Emotive rock.
