The word is njoo, It's the imperative singular of the verb kuja and neans "come" or "come here." Its pronunciation is very close to the name Joe, but one must hear the initial n.

This person is our child Fulani His (or her) birth father is my older brother. Even this could be ambiguous since the man's cousins would be called brother and sister. So even more detail would be required. Baba yake mzazi ni kaka yangu, tumbo moja. His (or her) birth father is my older brother, from one stomach (i.e., born to the same mother). It would also be necessary to specify mwanetu wa kiume, our male chid because Swahili has very few words that are gender-specific, and mwanetu could be male or female. However, binti means daughter: thus, binti yetu (our daughter).
