According to Family Feud name something a cowboy would hate to have happen during a gunfight?

The answers from the show were:

1. Gets Shot

2. Runs Out Of Bullets

3. Misses

4. Gun Jams

5. Drops His Gun

Some that might have been tried are:

  • Have his pants fall down
  • Have one of his buddies turn on him
  • Shooting himself by accident
  • Shoot the wrong man, his girlfriend, his dog, or his horse
  • Getting the hiccups
  • Have allergies / sneeze
  • Have a bullet misfire (since they used revolvers and not pistols)
  • Be distracted by a charging bovine (bull, cow or steer) or by a herd of stampeding horses, wild or runaway station-wagon horses
  • Have to use the bathroom
  • Have a heart attack or stroke or seizure (can be an epileptic seizure
  • Discover his opponent is a sheriff
  • Discover his opponent is Chuck Norris
  • Specific to cowboys, I'd guess they'd hate to be wrestling around and then someone plays the theme song to "Brokeback Mountain" on the jukebox.
  • Find out too late that he forgot to bring his gun.
  • He would hate if his gun jammed, if he shot his friend, or if he got shot first. Back then the equivalent to jam is a bullet misfire since there were revolvers and not pistols, but definitely having the other one draw faster and not miss is the most a cowboy could hate.
  • Be charged at by a bull.
  • Not have his gun.
  • Die

What might be the perils of over specialization?

Basically in the global economy, individual domestic economies as a result of reduced levels of domestic protection such as tarriffs are being forced into areas of comparative advantage or are becoming more 'specialised' in sectors of industry at which they for one reason or another are more competitive than average. For instance, China's high working age population and low labour costs have seen its economy become a manufacturing giant for the entire world. However, there are many "perils" or downfalls to this. With domestic economies worldwide becoming more integrated domestic economic management through macroeconomic policy becomes more difficult as the economy becomes subject to the economic conditions of trading partners, new businesses domestically find it harder to enter the market due to an inability to compete with transnational corporations as a result of their scale and domestic economies become more unstable as economic activity becomes a party to an international business cycle. Overspecialization is also known as "putting all your eggs in one basket." The major peril is going out of business if whatever you sell loses its popularity. ===answer === What type of overspecialization? economic, as covered in the previous answers, or individual? Personally, I believe we are losing a lot by creating a culture where you can't get a job unless you specialize in only one small area of knowledge. Serendipidy, the source of the greatest inventions, usually happens when someone sees an unexpected correlation between two totally different things or areas of knowledge. Specialists won't see that correlation because they only know one area. The greatest inventions were discovered by generalists, i.e. renaissance men. I will mention the inefficiency of an organization that specializes to the extent that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, and vice versa. Duplication of effort' and 'reinventing the wheel' covers it fairly well. An engineer once told me that "specialization is knowing more and more about less and less until you know everything about nothing, and generalization is knowing less and less about more and more until you know nothing about everything".

What is a reason why someone's voice might sound funny?

Some reasons:

  • Illness: laryngitis, a common cold, nasal congestion, or a sore throat can make it sound funny.
  • Vocal cords slack: when you just wake up, it can sound croaky because of a dry throat.
  • Puberty: boys' voices change pitch during puberty and can sound funny. Eventually it gets lower in tone.
  • Breathing helium: when you breathe in helium, the difference in density makes the pitch of your voice rise, making it sound squeaky.
  • Drinking or drunk: someone's voice can be dull or slurred when they have been drinking alcohol.
  • Accents and foreign languages: a voice can sound funny when doing a fake accent or pronouncing unfamiliar words.

The "Family Feud" answers:

Why did Richard Karn leave Family Feud?

wikipedia says he was fired

Wikipedia does NOT state that he was fired. He was on Family Feud from 1976-1985, when it was cancelled, and then again from 1994-1995 for another incarnation of the show, when it was apparently cancelled due to ratings. He was offered the chance to return again in 1999, but declined.
