Ganymede is about half the size of the Earth. It has a radius of approximately 2,635 km whereas the Earth's radius is 6,371 km.
See link for size comparison
It take 7 days to orbit and rotate. This moon has oxygen but it is not enough for living organisms. Of course there is no food, but there is under ground water. Even though there is water it is hard to live without food. There is also gravity and hails. The weather is cold. The nearest planet is Jupiter.
Ganymede was in Greek mythology not Roman , he was the most handsome amongst mortals.
The Martian surface is not habitable as it is. It will take adaptation by humans to survive for any length of time. There is hope that water can be found. That will aid if colonization is ever to take place.
Because There are millions of craters on both these silly little chickens
Whoever made the question you mean DIAMETER. It is 3,270 miles in diameter
Yes, Ganymede does have rocks, but their exact composition is unknown. It also appears to have separate layers, similar to Earth.
Not at our present level of technology.
Not enough atmosphere to count, temp of about 100 degrees Kelvin (about -275 F), deep inside Jupiter's radiation belt.
Ganymede is a moon of Jupiter, therefore the distance changes as it revolves around Jupiter. Jupiter is revolving around the Sun and therefore the distances will change.
For Jupiter:-
Aphelion (Furthest) 816,520,800 km (5.458104 AU)
Perihelion (Closest) 740,573,600 km (4.950429 AU)
Average 778,547,200 km (5.204267 AU)
Jupiter's moon Ganymede is the largest. It is the largest moon in the Solar System.
Ganymede's equatorial diameter is 5,262 km. This is about 2% larger than Saturn's moon Titan.
Pluto's equatorial diameter is only 2,274 km.
The Earth's Moon has an equatorial diameter of 3,476 km.
Mercury's equatorial diameter is 4,880 km. It is smaller than Ganymede but more massive.
Ganymede - (Greek mythology) a Trojan boy who was so beautiful that Zeus carried him away to serve as a cupbearer to the gods.
The story has long been held to have homosexual implications.
Galileo discovered Ganymede in 1610. Ganymede is the largest moon in the solar system and belongs to Jupiter.
Ganymede does not orbit the sun. It orbits Jupiter, which orbits the sun. Ganymede orbits Jupiter every 7.15 days. Jupiter orbits the sun every 11.86 years.
It might be tidaly heated like io and europa some scientests belive ganymede is tidally heated so it may have a subsurface ocean
