Georgia was losing her eyesight and could not paint unassisted. She was forced to move in with her assistant in Santa Fe, New Mexico... where she died on March 6, 1986 at the ripe old age of ninety-nine and half. So yeah.................

Georgia O'Keeffe's father, Francis "Frank" O'Keeffe worked on the family homestead in rural Sun Prairie, Wisconsin as a farm-hand with his brothers until he was old enough to run a farm my himself. He farmed in the Sun Prairie area until 1902. In 1902, the O'Keeffe's moved to Williamsburg, Virginia where Frank owned and operated a grocery and feed store. In 1912, Frank joined his family in Charlottesville, Virginia where he opened a creamery which later failed in 1915. Frank then pursued a job inspecting buildings around the state of Virginia. When he died in 1918, he was working as a carpenter.

Ida "Totto" O'Keeffe was a housewife when the O'Keeffes lived near Sun Prairie and when they moved to Williamsburg. When Ida moved to Charlottesville, VA in 1910, she ran a rooming house for students going to the University of Virginia.

It is hard to say which of her paintings are famous. Some well known pieces are 'Peach and Glass', 1927. 'Red Poppy', 1927. The series of paintings O'Keeffe did of Ranchos Church. 'Jack in the Pulpit No. IV', 1930. 'From the Faraway Nearby', 1937. She also did a series of paintings with a pelvis bone and blue sky. And a series of paintings done in 1963, 'Sky Above Clouds II' is one, this series seems to reflect on her late husband Alfred Stieglitz's photographic series of 'Equivalancies'.

She said her paintings were not intended to be sexual. Some people have thought that some of her flower paintings contained details looking like human sexual organs.

Alfred Stieglitz died on July 13, 1946 at the age of 82.

Georgia O'Keeffe first attended a rural one-room schoolhouse near Sun Prairie, Wisconsin from 1892 - 1901. She attended a convent boarding school named the Sacred Heart Academy in Madison, WI in 1901. In 1902, she spent one year at Madison High School, Madison, WI. She followed her parents to Williamsburg, Virginia the spring of 1903. In the fall of 1903, she attended Chatham Episcopal Institute, in Chatham, Virginia and graduated in spring 1905. In September 1905, she attended the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, Illinois for one school year. She joined the Art Students League in New York City in September 1907 until summer of 1908. Attended Columbia Teachers College, New York from 1914 -15.

Georgia O'Keeffe did not have children. Unlike many women of her time, she travel a lot between the ages of 18-30, either going to school or teaching. Her travels took her to Virginia, Chicago, IL, New York City, and Texas. She was following her passion to paint and not looking to marry and settle down as a housewife. When Georgia was in her early 30's she met Alfred Stieglitz and they fell in love and married. Alfred wanted Georgia to pursue her art and he felt that if they had children it would distract Georgia from being able to use her creative talents to develop her style. Georgia continued to create art and her art became a substitute for having children.

She did paintings of flowers and animal skulls. This is a fact.She also drew many lanscapes. Cubist Realism, also called Precisionism. It is a combination of Picasso Cubism but replaces the strong linearism with a realist approach to appear more natural.Answer 2: Cubism??? Ah, come on! Out of all of Georgia O'Keeffe's master-pieces we know that she enjoys making paintings of extreme close-ups of flowers. It was a kind of realism. You might call it fantastic poetic realism.
