They are the same thing, so it really doesn't matter. I usually say graph, but whatever is easiest to you.

Pie charts help people view statistics conveniently and, more often than not, with nice colors too. That way one doesn't have to keep explaining the statistics, one look at the pie chart and someone can identify the info.

No. Nor a vertical axis. The main measure is the angular one - although a secondary measure can be introduced by changing the size of the pie. For example a small pie for when the total was small and a larger pie for when the total was large. However, this is often misleading since it is not always made clear whether the radius or the area is proportional to the total. It should be the area but people are not very good at judging differences in circular areas.

A double bar graph is a graph that uses pairs of bars to compare and show the relationship between data. However, a double line graph is a grid graph that uses pairs of lines to compare and show the relationship between data.

A line graph is most often used to show the passage of time, and the points are placed in a specific order to show the change from one point to the next. A bar graph displays a set of statistics with no particular order to them.

Any information where many parts make up a whole, such as if you were to find how many apples, oranges, or bananas there were in a bag of fruits, the bag of fruits would be the whole and apples, oranges, and bananas would be the sections of the graph

It could skip numbers, such as if you are counting by 3's (3,6,9,12,15) then it could have wrong numbers, and there could also be other misleading stuff too.

It could be misleading if the values themselves are incorrect, or if the line is a best-fit trace drawn erroneously, perhaps on a graph of points that genuinely do not really follow a discreet numerical law.

A graph with a data spread which is both positive and negative can be displayed on a divergent bar graph. These could be constructed on either the x or y axis. Most of you will have seen such a graph which has been drawn on a population pyramid.
