What does green tea taste like?

Depending on the flavor you select, bubble tea tastes differ in every different restaurant or cafe.

I personally like fresh bubble tea that is made with real fruits (kind of like a smoothie but with tapioca).

Tapioca is a type of root. In bubble tea, this root is in small spherical shapes and dipped in sugar syrup to give it a sweet taste. *It's really good.

There is powder or syrup bubble tea, which obviously taste less fresh but taste pretty good.

Milk tea is a good example of this.

Try it out! I'm sure you'll get addicted in no time. :P

What are the negative effects with over consumption of Green Tea?

Eating green tea can actually be healthier for you than just drinking the liquid brew. Why? 2 reasons:

1. There are some components of green tea that are not water soluble. Instead they are fat soluble. This means that no matter how long you brew the tea, these components will not be absorbed by the water. You actually have to eat the leaves, preferably with some small amount of fat so that your body will get the benefits of these materials.

2. For those healthy parts of the tea that are water soluble, you can't be assured of getting all those components out of the tea by brewing them. You are likely to throw away some of the goodness when you throw away the leaves/ teabag.

Eating or drinking green tea are both very healthy and to be encouraged. But eating the whole leaf allows you to experience more of the health benefits.

What Green tea contains?

Green tea is made from the leaves, buds, and rarely, stems of the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. This is the same plant used to produce black tea, white tea, oolong, and Pu-erh. The difference between the different types of tea is in their production method.

Green tea has many different ways of being produced, but they all share in common that shortly after the leaves are harvested, they are somehow heated. This process is a lot like the process of blanching vegetables to preserve their nutritional content.

Some green teas (most Japanese green teas) are steamed, and others (like most Chinese teas) are pan-fired.

Is green tea a good detox for marijuana?

Yes. Any liquid substance does. You get high from the abundance of THC in your bloodstream. Eventually the THC will make it's way into your urine as it is deemed waste by your body. Basically, the more liquids you drink, the faster it's out of your system. This is true of only those systems that are regularly filtered by the kidneys or liver, the garbage-men of the body. Consider though that THC can remain detectable in hair samples for up to six months, and even if most THC is washed from your urinary output, enough can remain to make results suspect and motivate a tester to require a more expensive hair test.

Is there any nutritional value in green tea?

Yes.

Green tea is the healthiest tea. Both black and Green tea are made from the same tea plant-camellia sinensis. But unlike black tea which is fermented, Green is steamed. Steaming preserves most of the poly phenols found in tea leaves as well as the other health benefiting constituents of tea.

However, it has been proven that black tea lowers the level of LDL the "bad" cholesterol. A study in the Netherlands found that men who drank 4 cups of black, unsweetened tea a day had lower levels of LDL and a reduced risk of heart attack and stroke.

Why isn't green tea green?

Totally depends on why you are doing the water fast in the first place. Drinking green tea, or any other variation of tea for that matter, could stimulate the taste sensation, making it all the more difficult to stay the course. Each person is different, for some, drinking the tea will not have any adverse effects, yet for others, sticking to zero taste during the fast is easiest. It all comes down to personal preference and the very reason as to why you are fasting.

Is oolong tea the same as green tea?

The beverage we have commonly come to call tea is the result of steeping the leaves of the tea tree (Camelia sinensis) in boiling water. All teas are from this common plant, it is the manner in which it is harvested and processed for market that makes the different kinds of tea.

Green - freshly picked tea leaves are streamed, rolled on mats and heated. Steaming makes the leaves pliable and de-activates the enzymes that cause fermentation. Rolling releases the flavours and heating stabilises the tea.

Black - Fermentation is what make black tea black, gives it strength and richness. The leaves are placed in a warm moist room were they wilt and ferment, they are then rolled and eventually fired. The firing stops the fermentation process and keeps the tea from spoiling.

Oolong - is semi-fermented, causing the tea to be stronger than green tea but more delicately flavoured than the black tea.

White - is the very young buds of the Asian tea cultivar known as "Silver Tips", harvested and blended with longer leaves and a touch of apricot flavour, designed to appeal to a wider consumership.

Besides, these tea sorts have different to some extent health benefits and properties:

  • Black tea contains anti-oxidants Theaflavins and Thearubigins, they also act as powerful anti-clastogenics which help prevent breakdown and breakage of cells.
  • Green tea, besides its strong anti-oxidant properties, contains high level of EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate), which promotes weight loss and decreases cholesterol levels.
  • White tea helps for lowering cancer and heart disorders risk, body detoxification, skin problems, dental diseases, inflammation and fevers.
  • Oolong tea is #1 tea by concentration of Polyphenols which fight free radicals in organism. Also helps for improving digestion and headaches relief.
