It's head is hammer shaped. It does not use its head like a hammer.

Numerous animals live in the same habitat as hammerhead sharks and starfish. For example, dolphins, whales, other sharks, and plankton all live in an oceanic habitat together.

Smooth hammerheads are generally grey although they can also look light brown. Each shark is different in terms of color and their coloration looks different in various lights.

Sharks eat everything that lives almost. But yeah It depends on whether or not it is a carnivore. The whale shark and basking shark eat plankton to survive. Other sharks like the hammerhead, great white, bull shark, and tiger shark eat flesh.

The Mako Shark, is the fastest shark in the Ocean. It is also one of the dangerous Sharks, that has been known to attack man. All Sharks, have different sets of Teeth, some to Cut into they prey, and chop it up. From time to time, Sharks loose teeth naturally. Its prey are Tuna, and shoals of Fish, as its tremendously fast, it has no problems catching up with fast fish, where it lunges at them to split up the Showl. The Mako Sharks and others, in the Water, are known to attack, by demonstrating the behaviour of moving its head from left to right and fins up and down. Most sharks attack Blind and a membrane comes accross the eye when it goes in for the kill to protect it. It is known to leap out of the Water, and attack small Fishing Boats. The Thresher Shark, is also known to leap out of the water, there are no reports of attacks. It hits the Water with its long tail. The Thresher, is a shark of the Meditteranean, and is reduced in numbers.

Hammerheads usually mate once a year and this happens when the male shark bites the female violently until she agrees to mate with him. After fertilization and gestation, the female gives birth to around 12 to 15 pups. The Great Hammerhead which is much larger than other species gives birth to litters of around 20 to 40 pups. Hammerheads do not raise their young. The young swim off immediately after birth and stay away from elders who might kill & consume them. The baby sharks huddle together and swim towards warmer & shallow waters and stay together until they are old enough to defend themselves.

A hammerhead shark has been found at depths as great as 80 meters. The shark can also be found in very shallow waters. It is declining in numbers very quickly because of shark finning that is practiced by many Asian cultures.

not a lot of sharks attack humans. when people get attacked it is from a bite.sharks dont like the taste of humans. only about 4-10 people a year die from shark attacks. 150 people die each year from a coconut.

Pollution affects hammerhead sharks in a negative way. Oil spills and fishing nets have greatly affected the sharks, putting them near an endangered species list.

Examine the pelvic fins on the bottom of the shark. Male sharks will have two, tubular claspers trailing off the back part of the fins. Female sharks will have normal, rounded fins. The claspers on the male shark are its reproductive organs and are used to internally fertilize the female. Juvenile males will have smaller, short claspers and can be harder to identify.

Because of widespread uncontrolled hunting, hammerheads are considered an "endangered" species. Unless hunting them is stopped soon, these species may become extinct very soon.

A great white. Because the great white sharks are bigger. They also have bigger and wider mouths that can hold more flesh of a human than any other shark can.

I know their was a hammerhead caught of of The Rod n, Reel Pier that measured 18'7" long. The pier is located on Anna Maria Island, Florida. Also a large great white was caught either on that island or the island just south of it. The TIGER shark used for a brief part of the first "Jaws" was caught in Long Boat pass between Anna Maria and Long Boat Key.

there are small sharks you can check pet stores. however many we know of today cannot. great white sharks can't live out of the ocean. its not safe to keep sharks as pets. many small ones found in a pet store jump out of the tank. so its not a good idea, while they are killers its nature and are wonderful animals.
