The first years arrive in the Great Hall, where they line up in front of a very old hat, which they learn is called the Sorting Hat. After putting it on, it tells them which house they should be in.

Many different students are sorted into different houses, and finally it is the trio's turn.

Ron and Hermione go to Gryffindor; however the Sorting Hat wants to put Harry in Slytherin. He begs it inwardly not to, and is instead sorted into Gryffindor.

As the students are conferring about each other's lives and families, Harry looks up at the High Table and notices a man he later learns is named Prof. Severus Tobias Snape. When Snape glances at Harry, a terrible pain shoots through his scar, startling Harry.

Before Harry can fully react, however, Dumbledore ends the start-of-term feast by telling the students that a certain corridor on the third floor is off-limits. After this he sends them off to their dormitories.

Percy Weasley leads the Gryffindors to their dorms, and gets them in by way of a secret password ("Caput Draconis").

As Harry falls asleep that night, he has a nightmare, but when he wakes up the next morning, he doesn't remember having the dream at all.

That is not mentioned in the book as Lorcan and Lysander are both much younger than Harry and Ron's children.

If you were a real Harry Potter fan you would have read the book. They left because Harry was about to turn 17 in a few days. Meaning that the "Fidealeus" Charm would be broken causing his magical protection to dissapear. So Harry or his family would be open game to the death eaters.

A hasty chorus of "Happy Birthday" is what they sang to Harry.

He's sent to some sort of "other world" and has a long talk with Dumbeldore. In the end, he does come back to life.

Narcissa Malfoy is asked by Lord Voldemort to check if he his dead, she knows because she asks him if Draco is alive and he nods his head, she then knows he is alive. Idiot.

The book never mentions anything about Ron being affected. However it doesn't mention anything about Ron not being affected either. Ron was affected by them in the previous books so I would imagine he is still so in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows

Not really. The Durmstrang students think so, but they are simply the Elder wand, the Resurrection Stone and the Invisibility Cloak from a "fable", there is not really anything "bad" about them.

Yes! That's how Voldemort dies.

Moody dies in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but his death does not appear on any page of the book. Although he dies in "the Seven Potters" chapter, he is not in Harry's vicinity when he dies. Harry did not witness Mad-Eye's death. And since the books are told from Harry's point of view -- and, for the most part, only Harry's POV -- any action that Harry cannot see or hear cannot be "seen" or "heard" by the reader.

Moody was in Bill and Fleur's vicinity when he died. So, in the next chapter, "Fallen Warrior," Bill describes the circumstances of Moody's death. But as readers, we don't get to "see" Moody's death when it happens.

Albus Dumbledore dueled Gellert Grindelwald to gain possession of the Elder Wand. He won that duel, Grindelwald was imprisoned, and Dumbledore kept the wand until his death.

We won't know until July, I am afraid. In the book, he does. However Snape's death scene has been altered to make it 'more dramatic' as many fans believed his death in the book was rather anticlimatic. It is not very clear whether Harry is present during the death, but I think to cut out the section between Harry and Snape would be a great shame, as it speaks a lot about Snape's feelings towards Harry, and Harry also has to obtain Snape's memories to see the full truth.

Fred was killed when a wall collpased on him during the final battle. George survived the series and later married Angelina Johnston whom he had two children with. It is not known when or how he died as the series doesn't go that far into the future.
