At the end of The Deathly Hollows Harry triumphs over Voldemort. During the final battle Harry and Voldemort square off. Voldemort is holding the Elder wand with the idea that he was its master but in fact, Harry had become the wand's master by disarming Draco Malfoy, the one who won it from Dumbledore. Using the Elder Wand in an attempt to kill Harry with the Avada Kedavra curse but the Elder Wand would not destroy it's own master so the spell rebounded upon Voldemort.
With the battle over the book progresses 18 years and shows Harry's new family. He married Ginny Weasley, his best friend Ron Weasley's sister. They have three kids; James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter, and Lily Luna Potter.
