Hatshepsut expanded Egypt by making large trade expeditions

Ramses II expanded Egypt's power by making a peace treaty with the Hitties and so they never go attacked. Also, he ruled for a 66 year long period which made the government stable. Also (again) Ramses II did war to expand Egypt's power.

After the death of her father at age 12, Hatshepsut married her half-brother Thutmose II, whose mother was a lesser wife, a common practice meant to ensure the purity of the royal bloodline. During the reign of Thutmose II, Hatshepsut assumed the traditional role of queen and principal wife.

The construction of the "new" temple, which was to become known as one of the wonders of the ancient world, began around 550 BC. It was a 120-year project, initially designed and built by the Cretan architect Chersiphron and his son Metagenes, at the expense of Croesus of Lydia.

Rebuilding and destruction of the Temple of Artemis continued until it's final destruction in 401 by St. John Chrysostom.

Hatshepsut was married to her step brother Thothmose the 2cd.When her husband died he had left her with a son (Thothmos the third) from another wife and a daugther nefuerura.Thomose the third was suppose be Pharaoh but he was to young so Hatshepsut and her stepson and nephew ruled together for many years .While they were ruling together she claimed that she was pharaoh dressed in men clothing .While she was pharaoh by her own rights she had many works to be done from her fathers previous works first works were two obelisks ,cut out at swentet (aswan) and transported to Ipet-Isut She had ordered a tomb to be made for her but it wasn't built until the vally of Kings was abandomnded .It was also built at the site of a even older tempke Montuhotep seconds mortuary temple from 11th Dynastyt .Wich was the place were the inscription of her life and achievements can be found .She was pharaoh 1458 B.C which is the same time her son reclaimed he was pharaoh and destroyed all of her shrines ,stutues ,and reliefs mulated.

Her son co-ruled with Amhotep II, and some historians believe Amhotep erased her legacy in order to solidify his reign. Others think Hatshepsut's son poisoned her in order to rule without her regency (domination).

Thutmose III began a campaign to eradicate Hatshepsut's memory: He destroyed or defaced her monuments, erased many of her inscriptions and constructed a wall around her obelisks. While some believe this was the result of a long-held grudge, it was more likely a strictly political effort to emphasize his line of succession and ensure that no one challenged his son Amunhotep II for the throne.

At the temple complex of Karnak, she erected a series of obelisks and built a "Palace of Ma'at," a rectangular structure that was composed of "a series of small rooms with a large central hall for the placement of the central bark [a small ceremonial boat]. The walls of the palace were covered with carved and brightly painted relief scenes of Hatshepsut and Thutmose III.

Born circa 1508 B.C., Queen Hatshepsut reigned over Egypt for more than 20 years. She lived in the Palace of Ma'at. It was rectangular structure. The capital was Thebes, Amarna, and then again Thebes.

Queen Hatshepsut did not use the first anesthetic, as she lived in ancient Egypt during the 15th century BCE, long before the development of modern anesthetics. However, ancient Egyptian medical practices included the use of various herbal remedies and possibly alcohol to alleviate pain. Some scholars suggest that certain substances used in their medical treatments may have had anesthetic properties, but they were not formalized as anesthetics in the way we understand today.

Towards the end of the 19th Dynasty the increasing power of the priesthood corrupts the central government. During the 20th Dynasty tomb robbing is done by officials. The priesthood becomes hereditary and begins to assume secular power. The government breaks down.

Sinai.

Hatshepsut placed an obelisk in her honor at the temple of Karnak. This is the only known remaining obelisk of Hatshepsut.
