NO! The .32 ACP is loaded to much higher energies than the .32 S&W Revolver cartridge, and cannot be safely fired in a revolver- especially one that old. You will also have problems extracting the fired cartridge case.

You need to figure out which .38 your Colt is chambered in. .38 Short Colt and .38 Long Colt guns will not chamber a .38 Special. .38 Colt Special is the same as regular .38 Special.

If you cannot tell which caliber it is you need to take it to a gunsmith and have him tell you.

how to breakdown and load 38 caliber iver johnson pistol?

A bit dated, but I bought an Iver Johnson M-1 30 caliber for protection on my charter boat for two hundrend dollars in 1981. The seller threw in a hundred rounds or maybe two hundred. He told me how to file it down to make it fully automatic but I never did that. It saved me from pirates in a desolate part of the mid Bahamas but I had only to display it and draw down on the approaching pirates and they knew to turn away. Ran in to some trouble with a drunken passenger in the British Virgin Islands later and he threatened to report me to the Coast Guard for an unregistered gun. This forced me to a quick sale for a hundred bucks to a friendly native in the British Virgins. Sure wish I could get that gun back.
