It MAY be worth a $50 gift card from Sears. You did not give us the model number, but 583.13 through 583.22 are under a safety recall due to a flaw in the design of the bolt. They are considered unsafe to shoot. Sears WAS exchanging the bolt for a $50 Sears gift card.

I don't think those revolvers were manufactured in .22 magnum. It will be marked, usually on the barrel, likely 22 lr or 22 s/l/lr for short, long, and long rifle.

Depending on model and condition, about $125. Many were made by High Standard, decent shotguns.

Depends on the model. For some, open bolt, release safety, press and HOLD triger, slide bolt out. For some, there is a retaining screw that must be rmoved. You did not tell us the model.

JC Higgins was a trade name for Sears. Sears purchased all their guns from many manufacturers. You must track back with the Sears number to determine the manufacturer and from there to the correct model.

Whatever price you put on it. I have one too and it's one of the best, most reliable 12gauges, I have ever owned. I'm in the process of reblueing and refinishing the furniture, so I can pass it down to my kids. They don't make them like they used to.
