Quite possibly to 'out do' the Europeans at their own game, this painting is a natural progression from his Picasso influence and far more than most shows the influence of Gorky's figurative language. The title suggests an unlocking of the mysteries perhaps kept by 'the Guardians of the Secret'

What was Jackson pollock's family?

Asked by Wiki User

Apparently not. Neither the biographies of Pollock nor his wife Lee Krasner mention any children. His mistress was the sole survivor of the car crash that claimed his life, but there is not an indication that she ever had a child by him.

A quote from Marcia Gay Harden, the actress who portrayed Lee Krasner in the film "Pollack": the artist refused to have children with Pollock (She already had a child. She had Jackson)" is based on extensive background research by the director/actor Ed Harris.
