James Monroe

Harrison began a study of medicine but had to drop out after his father died and he ran out of money. I am not sure what his favorite subject was - he displayed an active interest in military history at one time while in prep school.

James Monroe's Presidency began 'The era of good feelings' mostly because he dismissed party affiliations when he made Presidential appointments. The Missouri Compromise was passed which also eased some tensions.
