Late in the movie, FitzRoyce attempts to lure the huge shark into a filtration pipe to trap it there. His plan fails, and the shark overtakes him. With a little maneuvering, the shark takes FitzRoyce all the way inside its mouth, noisily "chews" and crunches him several times, and crushes him to death. He brought a grenade with him, but he was unable (or unwilling) to detonate it while he was getting eaten. The shark escapes from the filtration pipe, crashes through a giant plate glass window, and floods an underwater control room. It snags a hapless, struggling technician in its jaws, swiftly crunches and kills him with a few crushing bites, and spits him out. Then, as the shark menaces other people in the control room--gnashing its jaws at them--we see FitzRoyce's dead body lodged deep inside the shark's mouth, with the grenade still clenched in his hand. Mike Brody, who is wearing full diving gear, reaches into the shark's mouth with a long metal rod and pulls the pin on the grenade. BOOM! No more shark.

Three full-size pneumatically powered prop sharks were made for the production: a "sea-sled shark", a full bodied prop with its belly missing that was towed with a 300′ (roughly 100 m) line, and two 'platform sharks', one that moved from camera-left to -right (with its hidden side completely exposing a wide array of pneumatic hoses), and an opposite model with its right flank uncovered.[20] The sharks were designed by art director Joe Alves during the fall of 1973.3
Quint was his last name name...Quint's first name was Sam, SAM QUINT. It was never mentioned in the movie but in the Peter Benchley Novel "JAWS" it was.
jaws is a shark and sharks will not shut up until they have eaten or annoyed everyone on the planet.
Helps if you bury it in the ground for a few months first, so the insects can work on it for a while. I use a large stock pot and 5-6 gallons of water when I'm boiling shark jaws.
The nickname given to the mechanical shark by it's handlers was 'Bruce'. Correction: the sharks name "Bruce" came from Steven Speilbergs attorney. Joe Alves was Bruce the sharks handler.
Remember that Hooper the marine biologist did the autopsy. The bite marks / lacerations (how the flesh is carved) are indicative of what type of shark, including a suggestion of size.
Amazing thing is that Jaws is only 3.5 feet longer than the largest Great Whites ever caught. (Jaws = 25', largest captured GW's approach 22')
So while it appears to be ridiculously/impossibly large, id say that there have been 25 foot GW's out there.
FUN FACT: They have attached sat nav trackers to GW's and some swim around Perth (western australia) before going non stop, amazingly fast, to Africa. Some dive down to over 1km in depth.
First of all your question should be: "Do you have to watch Jaws 2 before Jaws 3?"
My answer is: Yes you do because it might not make sense if you did not.

So far, there have only been rumors of a Jaws remake. There has been no known confirmations otherwise.
Actor Richard Kiel played the role of 'Jaws' in the James Bond movies The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker.
The sharks in jaws were mechanical and it took about 7-8 men to man each one, that is all i know...
According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the strongest recorded human bite force was 4,337N. While it's hard to measure how much force a shark's jaw can apply, it has been estimated that they can apply over 26,000N.
