After my bypass surgery 3 yrs ago I developed kidney stones. My urologist make several lab tests and found that most of the stones were oxalate, which was caused because the urine had a high pH over 6.5 and lower citric acid in my body, for which I was prescribed with Urocit-K (Potassium Citrate) to maintain a lower pH ideally under 6, to prevent stones to form. Last night I passed 2 stones one was a size of a small raisin, in previous days my urine turned cloudy, with red color and sometimes a lower pain before going to pee. I passed more than 15 kidney stones during a year period.
