What do you use to dye lacrosse heads?

What i did was I put it in for 8 minutes, took it out and cooled it off, and then put it in for another 7 minutes. What this does is it gives it 2 layers, so if the head scratches then the color wont come off. And i also put in around 1 tbsp of vinegar and around 1-2 teaspoon of salt. This gives it a bolder, better color.

What do you use for lacrosse?

I'm not sure whether you're participating in boys or girls lacrosse, but this can apply to either.

1. Plant foot:

When throwing the ball, you put the opposite foot forwards than your top hand. For instance, I'm a righty, so I put my left foot forwards when I have my stick in my right hand. Keeping your shoulders square to wherever you want to pass or shoot, point your plant foot at your target.

2. "Push-Pull":

Now that you are set up to throw the ball, hold your dominant arm at a 90 degree angle with your elbow as the vertex and with your bicep/shoulder in a straight line from your chest. With your bottom or non-dominant hand, simply hold your arm extended at the bottom of your stick, out from your torso. When you are ready to throw, quickly tilt/swing/push your top arm towards the ground. It's difficult to describe this, but it's like your forearm is a hand on a clock and it is going from 12 to 9. This is your "push."

With your bottom hand, simply pull it quickly towards your body. This is your "pull." Do both the "push" and "pull" at the same time. With a girl's stick, this is easier to do, but with a boy's stick you just have to do this a little harder because of the deeper pocket.

What is a rake in lacrosse?

Basically a rake is a technique for picking up ground balls where you have the head of your stick on top of the ball, keeping the butt of the stick up towards you and in a raking motion (hence the name) pull the ball backwards and up into your stick. This method is not as effective as scooping through the ball because it takes more time and you can easily lose the ball if you are in a 1 on 1 or in a group fighting for the ball.

What is the circle or marked off area in front of the goal in lacrosse?

The goal circle, or "crease" allows attackers to have an advantage to see the field or make a "roll." A player behind the goal can make feeds to offensive cutters, and if the opportunity is there, to run around the perimeter of the circle and score a goal. It is a good way to shake defenders and to use your teammates to set picks and make cuts so you can score a goal.

It's probably one of my favorite parts about attacking in the sport.
