- Text - Select the text you want to move. Carefully move the cursor to a word in the text. Click and drag the text to a new location. If you are within a document the text will be moved to the new location. If you move it on to the desktop, a 'text clipping' will be created on the desktop. The original text will remain in the document.
If you are not able to remember these commands exactly, you can use command c, x, and v. to copy, cut, and paste the items, without having to drag anything. If you make a mistake, press command z to undo it.
