well.... id be labeled as emo, and i generically wear black 3 quarters of the year, but maybe a week here or there i might paint them grey. ive had my nails black for more than a year, and i have had them white for a week. nailpolish isn't really labeled as ''emo'' its what you like.

It depends how badly you have damaged the nail bed. Sometimes the nail will grow until the dark spot (or blue spot) grow right out and other times you may lose the nail completely. Nature takes it course so wait and see, but keep the nail clean and put antibiotic cream on it.

Nail polish remover really isn't too dangerous. Well..I wouldn't call it dangerous. You just have to watch how much you breathe in. Some people use it to get high and it does work... But just using it for what it is made for is perfectly fine. Just don't put the bottle up to your nose and sniff it for a long time..that is very dangerous and makes you really dizzy and blahhh haha so..take my advice and only use it to take off nail polish or to get sap off your hands..that works haha. iloveyou (:

There are two easy ways to remove gel polish. One- fill a small bowl (glass) half full with acetone nail polish remover. Lightly file across the top of the gel, roughing up the surface a bit. Soak your fingertips in the acetone for 2-3 minutes. The gel will start lifting away from your nail bed. Using a cuticle stick, gently pull the gel away from the nail. Don't force it, just encourage the gel to lift. Let soak a few more minutes, repeating these steps until your nails are fell free. It only takes about 10 minutes.

The 'foil method' can also be used. Cut 2-3 cotton balls into 4 pieces, each just big enough to cover your nails. Apply acetone to a piece of cotton ball, apply to the lightly filed nail, then wrap your fingertip in foil, covering the cotton ball. Repeat on all 10 fingers. Keep the foil on for 10-12 minutes. When you remove the foil, the gel will slide off on the cotton ball.

The final method is also fantastic for removing the stubborn glitter polishes that are so difficult to remove.

Important!!! You must moisturize your hands and nails well after using either of these methods. Acetone will dry out your skin and nail beds quickly.
