What products aside from nail polish remover will remove nail polish?

  • Any product containing acetone or methyl-ethyl-ketone (MEK) will remove nail polish. This can include many paint-thinning or removal products, including lacquer thinner. However, these products can rapidly dehydrate human skin, and are highly flammable.

In addition, pure acetone has a flash point similar to gasoline (petrol) and vapours can be ignited by a nearby flame... it can also dissolve lots of common plastics....

  • Consumer nail polish remover is actually 60% acetone. But the remainder is moisturizers and water to reduce the impact on the skin, and to make it safer to use....
  • Polish can also be dissolved with more (wet) nail polish. It is recommended that this be done with clear nail polish, one finger at a time.
  • While DEET, the active ingredient in insect repellent, may also be effective, it is NOT recommended; it is also very damaging to many household plastics.
  • Another alternative is to use use peel-off nail polish instead.
  • You could also put tape on your nails, and after a few seconds, rip it off quickly.
  • Lastly, some toothpaste removes nail polish. Rub vigorously with a napkin.

Also Acetone and alchol Do not peel the polish or your nails will turnbrittle also top of nail may peel off as well.

If this is all too much trouble, nail-polish can be simply removed by first wetting the nails with water and then repolishing your nails while they are still wet with the same nail-polish.

This may have to be done twice according to the strength of the nail-polish.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Try using a wet wipe takes longer but it works.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also try using hairsray spray onto a cloth thing and wipe

    IMPORTANT:Never use body spray

I've tryed ding it but it just makes the nail STING.

These are the best ways to do this..

    WHAT YOU NEED IS..

    Nail polish (preferably clear)

    Wet wipe(s)

First you have to soak your nails is hot or warm water for 10 minutes,

Then you just need to put the clear nail polish over your other nail polish and wipe if off with the wet wipe as quick as you can so it doesn't dry off. (Repeat as needed).

-Hand sanitizer will do the trick....it will go off in seconds

-sprat deodorant works too....just spray on to a spot on a cloth and wipe o ff hard

- tooth paste works but takes forever

EDIT:

Vinegar and Citric Fruits

Vinegar is a natural substance. Putting this acidic substance on polish will break it down and make it possible to wipe off. Simply put a small amount of vinegar in a bowl. Add citric fruit such as lemon, lime or an orange, and mix in with the vinegar. Put a cotton ball in the mixture and wipe on your fingernails. It may take a bit longer to remove the polish fully, since it will take a little while to break down. Also, you may have to gently scrape your nails to fully remove.

Insect repellent is sometimes recommended as an alternative nail polish remover. Because of the harsh chemicals found in insect repellent, this is not suggested.

Did french manicure come from France?

I don't know!! It's an interesting question!! Maybe it came from Mexico or Fiji or some place like them?? But it might of come from France maybe that's why its called FRENCH NAILS!!

It is very hard to trace the origins of the French Manicure. French manicures may have originated in 18th century Paris, France.

They were made popular in the 1920s and 1930s

Some claim or say that "The French Manicure" was invented by Max Factor in Paris, France in the 1920's to the 1930s somewhere in that era. Yes, Max Factor was a real man. He founded Max Factor & Company in 1909, a cosmetics company. Maximilian Faktorowicz (1877--August 30, 1938), Max Factor was the name given to him at Ellis Island by immigration officials. He was born in Poland to a Jewish family. He eventually opened a shop in Moscow Russia. Max Factor was the official cosmetic expert for the Russian Royal Family, The Imperial Russian Grand Opera, and The Russian Royal Ballet. In 1904, Max Factor and his family moved to the United States. He came to sell his rouges and creams at the St. Louis 1904 World's Fair. He did invent the term "makeup," based on the verb, "to make up" ones face.

In 1978 the cosmetics company Orly trademarked the term 'Original French Manicure'
for the first 'at home French manicure kit'.

Can nail polish remover ruin your phone screen?

Nail polish remover generally consists primarily of acetone and ethyl acetate. It should wipe off with a paper towel.

One complicating factor is that many plastics dissolve or at least soften when exposed to those chemicals. At that point you're no longer talking about a stain, you've got structural damage. There really is no way to "get it out".

What ingredients are in long lasting nail polish?

Formaldehyde and im sure of this because i looked it up so much to make sure so i did not sound stupid, retarded, and anything else i am one of those smart freaks you know...

- - - - -

You can't be THAT sure...they never used formaldehyde in nail polish.

Tosylamide/formaldehyde resin, which has formaldehyde as an ingredient but is very different from formaldehyde when it gets put in nail polish, is a polymer they use to make nail polish harder. They're developing new resins to replace it because no one wants to use a product that says "formaldehyde" on the ingredients list even if it contains no actual formaldehyde.

If you mean nail polish on our nails, i would suggest nail polish remover.

Yes. Paint thinner often contains acetone which is the dissolving agent in most major nail polish removers. Be sure to moisturize afterwards; the oils on your skin are easily remmoved by the thinner as well as the nail polish.

How long do nail Gel Extensions last?

It depends on what kind of extensions you put in:The glue in extensions use a "bond". These only last about a week or so depending on how often you wash your hair. They are EXTREMELY damaging and I don't recommend them.

The individual extensions look like small strands of hair, glued together. You "fuse" these to your hair, and while they look better, they take A LOT of time and also damage your hair because they use the same sort of bonding agent.

The braid in ones usually last the longest, but they cost the most to get professionally done. I'm not sure how damaging they are, but a lot of stylists that I've talked to say this is way better than gluing.

I learned a new technique recently that you can use with either tracks or individuals. I'm not sure what it's called, but you take small sections of your hair and the extensionsusing a hook and pull it through a small metal circle thing. After you do that, you use a clamp to secure it all together. It takes a lot of time, but it looks great and it lasts a long time. It's also really easy to get out and it doesn't damage your hair much, if at all.

Whatever method you chose, you should make sure to buy high quality hair. Even if you glue them in, good hair can be reused multiple times.
