Please quit propagating false propaganda that has been dis proven multiple times by multiple scientific studies. Most doctors nowadays actually support medical marijuana and believe in the multitude of uses for it to help the ill.
Studies show that it actually inhibits 9 different types of cancer, with more being discovered about it all the time. There has never been any studies that prove that it could cause cancer, either. You are spreading falsehoods and need to update your facts, because you are still stuck in the 30s and 40s falling for marijuana propaganda. I hope one day you start using your brain and thinking for yourselves and not merely re-spewing falsehoods that you were stupid enough to believe when they were told to you

The myth that marijuana kills brain cells is the result of a very poor study conducted many years ago where they said they administered marijuana to monkeys and monitored their brains. Their conclusion was that marijuana did kill brain cells and in fact caused death.
The way in which the study was conducted was not made public until a lot of campaigning for more information. It turned out that the study involved pumping pure smoke in to the monkeys airways with not additional oxygen. The truth is that the monkeys were suffocated with the smoke. Extreme lack of oxygen results in brain cell death.
There has also been talk that using marijuana can cause and/or provoke the onset of schizophrenia. This has almost entirely been based on the fact that a large percent of schizophrenia patients are also marijuana users. It is believe that although marijuana does not create schizophrenia it may trigger schizophrenia in already prone individuals. It may also be true that schizophrenia patients simply find comfort in consuming marijuana.

-today's weed is said to be much more potent than the weed of the 70s, at 10% THC versus 3-4%, and some say this makes it more addictive and dangerous (but it is important to note that the one legal (with a prescription) form of marijuana, Marinol(R), is actually 100% THC, so higher percentage of THC in marijuana certainly doesn't indicate any greater danger to the user)

You'll get resin on it and it'll smell like weed. It may also become dry. There is a very small chance that it will cause plastisol migration, a chemical reaction that causes plastics to slowly break down. But i honestly don't think it'll affect your retainer much, lil smokey. If you're that concerned, take it out while you smoke. But keep in mind that many "water pipes" have a plastic recipticle and the smoke does not seem to damage them. so i think you're safe.
