There is not a member named Jane.The song uses the name as their album ( i.e. songs about Jane) as a metaphor. She was Adam's ex-girlfriend and who inspired the songs on the album

The Five Members of the band went to French Woods Festival of the Performing Arts Camp by Ron Schaefer. I am a camper there, The band met at camp a the camp's "rock Shop" or "rock center" where people form bands and that was their camp band, so thats where th fives from the rock shop has a maroon roof and they met at the rockshop so they named it maroon 5 for the maroon on the rockshop

I know that Maroon 5's not the original singers. I'v eheard the song before many times, and I was happy to hear the Maroon 5 re-sung it. Sadly, I can't find anywhere who the other band was that sung it. It's really bugging me.

That's incorrect. Maroon 5 sang this song first. The lead singer, Adam, recorded "Heard Em Say" with Kanye West on his album "Late Registration". "Nothing Lasts Forever" came from Adam's Part in the song. Maroon 5 put Adam's part on the new album and changed it up a bit. But Adam wrote the whole song, and re-wrote it for their album. -Janie.
