Re-measure the tubing and mark the most distal point with tape. (SABC) Cut it to the correct length, creating an angle.
The first thing you should do for a chlorine gas victim is to remove him or her from where the chlorine gas is. Giving the patient first aid for inhaled chlorine does no good if the guy is still lying there breathing chlorine.
One of the biggest reasons to establish an oral-pharyngeal airway is if there is risk of losing a patent airway. For example, if the throat might swell from injury/trauma or allergic reaction. Another example: To protect heart and brain when the airway might close off completely, such as in severe respiratory distress like a severe asthma attack.

Ideally, a sterile, bacteriostatic lubricant (like SurgiLube). If that is not available, water or the casualty's spit will work. Don't use blood as that will clot and cause damage when the NPA is removed.
If you are not sure if a chest wound has penetrated the chest wall completely, treat the wound as though it were an open chest wound.
You treat both heat exhaustion and heat stroke by sprinkling A LOT of water on him. You don't necessarily have to do it for a heat cramps victim, but it won't cause any harm.
Also remember: it is as important to get water IN the victim as it is to get it ON him.
