To download it from the website you need internet connection of course but once it has been downloaded you can play in singleplayer with no internet. To play on a multiplayer server you do need to have internet.

You could use one of the many websites that you pay for them to host them to host the server, complete with many Bukkit plugins, ServerCraft being one. But if you want to host a server, and start it out from scratch, you could go to the top link in "related links" and download the "Multiplayer Beta Server" at the bottom of the page. It may help to follow a guide as to setting up the server on YouTube.

In multiplayer, DEFINITELY. But in single player mode, there's no one to ban you.

It also depends on the server. Some people don't care if you use hacks.

If you look in the Minecraft Terms and Conditions, you will find that it does say that you must not make hacked clients and use them on Minecraft multiplayer, although, that's not to say that you can't... ;)

They cant know you have mods, so just don't do things that look like

you have mods, like if you have x-ray, don't get diamonds every 5 seconds

and random holes.

Some servers have Anti-Xray mods installed, so instead of using the mod or hack, I suggest a simple Xray texture pack! Thats how I do it! :P

some servers do have plugins that will find out if u have a mod or not like x-ray yea its easy to find out if u do have x-ray or not but some mods are ok but some mods are bad like mods that help u find slimes or jump higher or speed

To wear your skin in Minecraft first go to Minecraft.net. Then log in and go to your profile. There is an upload skin area, select your skin from your computer and then click upload. Assuming it is a legitimate skin, your player's skin will be changed.

To install Multiverse, Open your Mcmyadmin file,

find the Plugin file (should be in the "minecraft" file)

paste the multiverse .jar files in the plugin file.
