It also depends on the server. Some people don't care if you use hacks.

If you look in the Minecraft Terms and Conditions, you will find that it does say that you must not make hacked clients and use them on Minecraft multiplayer, although, that's not to say that you can't... ;)

They cant know you have mods, so just don't do things that look like

you have mods, like if you have x-ray, don't get diamonds every 5 seconds

and random holes.

Some servers have Anti-Xray mods installed, so instead of using the mod or hack, I suggest a simple Xray texture pack! Thats how I do it! :P

some servers do have plugins that will find out if u have a mod or not like x-ray yea its easy to find out if u do have x-ray or not but some mods are ok but some mods are bad like mods that help u find slimes or jump higher or speed

Well, you can help the lag, but you can't stop it completely. You can do this by pausing the game, going into options, and turning down the render distance, turning off smooth lighting, limiting the frame rate, and turning the graphics from fancy to fast.

-Also if you have a dual or quad core processor, try restricting Minecraft to using 1 or 2 cpu cores.

Go into task manager and click on the processes tab. Find Minecraft in the list.

Right click on Minecraft and go to Set Affinity and un-check CPU 2 and 3 (if you have a quad core processor) or just 2 (if you have a dual core processor)

In the new Beta 1.8.1 update hit W twice then hold and you can also hold down and jump to do a sprint jump which can jump atleast two blocks long.
If you mean sprint, you double tap and hold the button you have for walking forwards.

When the food bar gets empty, your health bar will drop slowly. On hard difficulty it will go continue dropping until it reaches the bottom, but on peaceful, easy and medium it will stop at a certain point, depending on the difficulty. And also, the healing is different now. To refill your health bar you need the food bar above 90%.
