Once you have planted seeds on dirt you tilled with a hoe, wait for them to grow up into ripe wheat. This will take a day or two. When the stalks are yellowish and the tops are brown it is ready to harvest. Hit it with anything, including bare hands, and it will drop wheat and more seeds.

If by harvesting you mean getting the wheat once it is grown, punch it.

Creepers and Ghasts will sometimes drop it when you kill them.

Minecraft uses in game physics and rules that can be used as educational tools. The most obvious of these would be the use redstone as an introduction to binary.

have the rails along your track but you must use normal rails to turn corners.

Now put redstone Next to the rails and then a lever/button or somthing to work it, i think detector rails work aswell but not sure how.

1. Water source block hits lava source block.

2. Place redstone on a block of dirt with water flowing right up against it but not over the redstone... then let lava flow onto the redstone.
