There are two ways to do this, depending on which mode you're on.

If you're on singeplayer and have cheats enabled, you can type "/gamemode survival" (without quotation, including the slash) and you will be in creative.

However, if you do not have Cheats enabled, there is a tool for changing game modes - see the related links for the MinecraftForum link.

If you're in multiplayer, you can change the game mode from survival to creative in the same manner as singeplayer, the only catch is you must be an op. An op is an operator of the server, or better known as an administrator or moderator.

If you press f3, the y: is the height or what is referred to as a level or layer. You can find gold from levels 2 - 29. There are about 8 gold blocks per chunk. A chunk consists of a 16 x 16 from 0 - 256 height of the world. You can also find what chunk you're in by pressing f3, and x and z will have (c) at the end. This is the chunk.

Simply click "Multiplayer" then do "direct connect" or "add server" and type in a server IP. From there, you can play with friends and family on a Minecraft server.

Enchantment cost refers to the levels. Let's say you're level 32, and an enchantment you want costs 28 (which just so happens to be Silk Touch), you will have 4 levels left. In order to change the maximum enchantment levels, you must have bookshelves. The bookshelves must be at least one block apart from the enchanting table, and can be stacked up to 3 tall. The maximum is level 30, and you can cut off sources by placing a torch for a specific level. I hope this helped!

To create a firework you first need a firework star which is created using gunpowder and a dye (OPTIONAL: extra materials like diamond, glowstone, lapis etc...) Then you Need paper, the firework star and gunpowder (1-3 depending on power) The firework star is placed on the center top box, the the paper in the direct middle and the gunpowder below it you can put more gunpowder in the bottom row if you want the firework to become more powerful.

You have to make sure you place the repeater the direction the redstone is traveling. Also when you click on the repeater, the torches move right? That is for setting delay on the repeater or in different words setting how long it takes for the redstone signal to pass through the repeater. Enjoy your redstone circuts :)

Leaglly, no. If you want to play a free version of minecraft legally, the official Minecraft website (minecraft.net) hosts an edition of Minecraft called Classic. Its a great alternative if you can't afford to buy the game.

Yes, buying the game is not needed to make a server. However, you must know how to port forward and your router as well as your information to your router (username and password).
