Well some people have beliefs to kill monkeys for their skin. You never know but yes people do kill monkeys for their skins but not a whole lot of people do.

there are 2 different species of slender loris. the first the red slender loris is endangered with deforestation and hunting major problems. the other species the Grey slender loris is listed as least concern but is threatened by habitat loss. hope this helps.

Formation of the thumb has been instrumental in the evolution of man, which finger can be held against the other four fingers, facilitating a firm grip on things. The emergence of this thumb and it's positioning against the other fingers in the opposite direction helped man in making fires and forging weapons which in it's turn were used to make more and new weapons, initiating civilization. Monkeys do not have a thumb, so they cannot make a fire. If monkeys had thumbs they would not only have made fires but sitting on trees and making sticks out of twigs, they would certainly have beaten men walking under also.
