Monster High is a series of books, written by Lisi Harrison. The characters are children of famous monsters such as Dracula, Medusa, and the Phantom of the Opera. The books also have several spin offs such as fashion dolls, games, and a web series. The dolls have become so popular, that they rival Barbie in sales.

Where are the Monster High books sold?
All I know is that is that you can get monster high felt coloring pages at a store. I don't think you can get a monster high coloring book.

Probably the San-Diego Comic-Con exclusives: 2010's Black and White Frankie Stein (NOT the Skull Shores B&W Frankie) and 2011's Deadfast Ghoulia. Both were limited editions.

What size are Monster High dolls?
There are lots of different Monster High dolls that comes out at different times but the first wave was Frankie Stein, Draculaura, Clawdeen Wolf, Lagoona Blue, Cleo de Nile, Ghoulia Yelps and Deuce Gorgon. The second wave consisted of Abbey Bominable, Clawd Wolf, Holt Hyde, Toralei Stripe, Nefera de Nile, Spectra Vondergiest and Operetta. There was also a third wave that consisted of Robecca Steam, Venus McFlytrap, Rochelle Goyle, Jackson Jekyll and C.A Cupid. There are lots of extras as well consisting of Howleen Wolf, Gillington (Gill) Webber and the werecat twin sisters, Purrsephone and Meowlody. There are lots of couple double packs including, Cleo de Nile and Deuce Gorgon, Draculaura and Clawd Wolf and twin sisters, Purrsephone and Meowlody.

No, Monster High dolls are a different line than Bratz dolls.
Do Monster High dolls come apart?
Without breaking my doll, I went ahead and did some investigating on my little vampire doll to see if I could cannibalize for just the torso. If you were to disassemble the doll completely, you'll need to do alot of work attaching the different body parts on her as the joints for the build your own monsters are different from the normal standard dolls. The standard dolls are all assembled with elastic joints and normal pins to keep joints together and flexible. the build your own versions are all ball joints.
so unless you're up for the task of completely ruining a doll just for her torso, be prepared to do some crafty work assembling your new doll together. Better to buy to cheaper ones that nobody cares to collect :)
