Nabooti Island

There are two sections to the Blue Nile Falls. The one on the left has the woman and her animals trying to cross. The other section is far to the right and has a large rock about halfway down. The bush is on that rock. The only way to reach the cave behind it is to get the woman across the falls with her animals. Once you have done this, the "blue hand" will appear when you point to the cave.

• Cross with the chicken and leave it on the left side.
• Cross back to the right.
• Pick up the feed and take it across to the left side, but then pick up the chicken and bring it back across to the right with you.
• Leave the chicken and take the fox across to the left.
• Come back and take the chicken across to complete the test.

On the Safari, you must get "good" pictures of 7 wild animals for Big Zeke. Get a camera by swapping a gold nugget at Nabooti (there is one in the palm tree above the second hut at Kaya Forests).

You have 8 chances to shoot photos of the 7 different animals, and the photos should include most of the entire animal (use the zoom out). When you have a good photo, a green "check mark" appears for the photo. If a red X appears, the photo is not good. You have one "spare" 8th shot. The animals go in and out of view, usually hiding in the trees, so you have to wait for some (like the gazelle) to finally come out.

The 7 animals and their locations in the scene :

1. The bird is at the upper left in a tree.
2. The zebra is at the left side.
3. The lion is at the lower left side.
4. The giraffe is at the center.
5. The crocodile is at lower center.
6. The elephant is at upper right
7. The gazelle peeks out at the lower right.

This is a classic puzzle. If you leave the fox with the chicken, the fox will eat the chicken. If you leave the chicken with the feed, the chicken will eat the feed. So the chicken must either be with the woman, or by itself. The trick is to cross twice with the chicken.

1. Take the chicken over.
2. Take the fox over, but bring the chicken back to the right.
3. Take the feed over.
4. Take the chicken back over.

Now you can open the cave (behind a bush on a rock), at the far right of the falls. The purple jewel is in the cave. There is also a Blue Egyptian Lily at the left above where your plane is.

The four steps to getting the animals across the falls :

1. First you bring the chicken over to the left which leaves the fox and chicken feed.
2. Next you bring the feed over, but bring the chicken back to the right.
3. Then you bring the fox over.
4. Then you bring the chicken over again.

To enter the tomb at Giza, you have to place the Moonstone in the ring atop the Sphinx.

1. Get the Egyptian Blue Lily from the Blue Nile Falls. Swap it in Nabooti for a turban.
2. Get the cell phone from the old man's cave at the Mountains of the Moon.
3. Go to Giza and wear the turban. The diggers will be fooled and give you a shovel. On the shovel is the number to the phone of the boss, Vince Graves.
4. When you see the bag with the recovered stone, call Vince's number, 555-6789, on the phone, When he's distracted, his men run off and you can get the Moonstone from the bag.
5. Climb the Sphinx and place the Moonstone in the ring, which will open the door.

Mancala has a number of variations in which "seeds" or stones are placed in or removed from a wooden playing dish. Two versions popular in the West are Kalah and Oware (the national game of Ghana).

On the game site Poptropica, mancala is a variation of Kalah, played using a tray with 2 large "player pits" on either side and 12 smaller pits arranged in two rows. At the start of the game, there are 3 pebbles in each of the 12 small pits. Players take turns moving the pebbles from pit to pit, moving clockwise. A pit is chosen on the player's side, and emptied of pebbles by leaving 1 in each pit as they move. If the last pebble lands in the player's own pit, he gets another turn. If the last pebble lands in an empty pit on that player's side, it and the pebbles from the corresponding opponent's pit are scored to the moving player's pit. When either side is empty, all pebbles remaining are go to the player on whose side they remained. The player with the most pebbles wins.

Inside the Sphinx there are four challenges :

1. You will reach a series of dashes on the wall ( -|-- ). When you click on one, the other three rotate by 90°. So press the first, third, and fourth lines (-) exactly once and they will all line up (----). This allows you to take the upper path and avoid the scorpion.
2. When you reach the set of four blocks, push them off either side to recreate the design on the wall below. This will open the wall. You can push them on top of each other to do this. (If you can't, pull the reset switch and try again.) Push one or more blocks across to jump from.
3. When you climb down the rope and reach the chamber, the floor will collapse. There is a rope to get back up. You are back at the four hieroglyphics in the entryway. Remember the 4 symbols in ascending order (man, wavy sea, bird, eye) and jump on only those blocks, one block in each row. For example, only the big-head man in the first row, only the wavy sea on the second. When you reach the top, jump quickly to the rope.
4. For the last puzzle, there are 2 big statues and 4 little statues. Each little statue has dots on its belly (one dot, two dots, 3 , and 4). The switches each drop a little statue, but the room will begin to fill with sand. You must drop the statues in order (1 dot, 2 dots, 3, 4) before the sand covers the switches. The small mummy case opens to reveal the Blue Jewel.

You need the hardhat from the Safari (get the gold nugget from on top of the second hut at Kaya Forests, trade it for a camera at Nabooti, and take photos of 7 animals for Big Zeke).

Beginning at the mine entrance :

1. Put on the hardhat
2. Go into the mine at right and set the electric fence timer
3. Run immediately to the hole in the fence - left and up the dirt pile, up onto the conveyor belt, right and jump right across the space in the belt, up onto the barrel, and through the wire.

There are five areas you pass through in getting the jewel from the Diamond Mines. First, you will need a hardhat. You get this by completing the Safari. (see related question)

Beginning at the mine entrance :

1. Put on the hardhat
2. Go into the mine at right and set the electric fence timer
3. Run immediately to the hole in the fence - left and up the dirt pile, up onto the conveyor belt, right and jump right across the space in the belt, and up on the barrel.
4. Inside the mine, walk up the mine cart chute, jumping over any mine carts, until you reach the elevator. Go down.
5. Turn off the sparking elevator switch.
6. Push a barrel of explosives from the left side, over to the big rock.
7. Turn on the sparking switch, and it detonates the explosive.
8. Turn off the switch.
9. Push another barrel over, all the way right to the wall.
10. Turn on the switch.
11. Enter the mine and roll the mine cart.
12. Duck down to avoid the roof, and jump over the pointy rocks (the game warns you). After three jumps, you reach the diamonds
13. Look through the diamonds with the magnifier provided, The White jewel should be the second of the two close together at the bottom left corner. (It has a triangle symbol on it.)

Once you have all five jewels (green, purple, red, white, blue), return them to the totem in the museum.
