He just went under a 11 hour operation and is recovering. I got a few people to send him get well wishes and some things he thinks it awesome. We try to get him all the support we can. We met someone last year who said they could customize his chair and fly him to a race. Also, to get him into Richard Petty's camp. They took pictures of his chair too. And we never heard a word from them, so I have been trying to make it up to him. And he gets so excited over everything I get him from NASCAR. Currently, there are no plans for either Dale Jr. or RCR to bring the black #3 GM Goodwrench Chevy back to the race track.

Dale Jr. just won the Nationwide Series race at Daytona this year on July 2, driving the #3 Wrangler car in honor of his Dad. Bittersweet victory.

Mike Walthrip owns both the truck and car teams, drivers of both teams have varied, however, David Ruitaman (not sure on the spelling) drives the nascar car, the bush car varies as does the truck. side note: big money & politics play a part in Nascar.

They could not afford to repaint it, and he raced the pink car on dirt tracks around Charlotte, North Carolina.

In 1980, Dale Sr. drove 28 races with a Chevrolet and 3 races with an Oldsmobile. He only drove a Pontiac during the 1981 season. The pink car was his first dirt track car and it was a Ford.
