Who creates vin numbers?

Part of the number is internationally recognised.

Generally (universally?) the first 3 digits denote the make (manufacturer) of the vehicle.

SAJ=Jaguar.

W0L=Vauxhall/opel

WVW=Volkswagen.

ETC

Then the rest is up to the manufacturer, with he understanding that the last 6 are "frame numbers" for the make/model, and are as such "unique".

SO you might get W0L000058R123456.

W0L=Vauxhall/opel.

58R=Cavalier 5 door hatch.

123456=unique number for the 5 door hatch cavalier in question.

You might get W0L000073R123456, but then 73R is a Corsa van, so the 123456 is still unique, there will be only one 73R followed by 123456.

Hope this makes sense.

Where is the petrol filter on an opel corsa ecotec?

It all depends on what corsa it is, my opel corsa 1997 1.3i Lite's filter is situated inside the petrol tank, you can get to it by lifting up the back seat and opening tha black round cap.

I have a corsa c sxi 2001. I will be changing the petrol filter at the weekend. It is situated under the car beside the petrol tank near the back. Make sure you depresurise the tank before taking the old one off or you will have petrol all over. Leave for 20mins with key out the egnition and relese petrol cap then put it back on and start work. Have rags and paper ready for spillage. Hope this helps

I have a Corsa c 2001 and i am in the prossess of changing the petrol filter. Mine is at the side of the petrol tank just under the front side of your back off side wheel. You should get at it by lifting the back off side of your car and put it on an axel stand. It is just as the chap said before me
