Picasso was against the war so he drew pictures that used keep color and used symbolic subjetcs. During World War I (1914-1918), Picasso went to Rome, working as a designer with Sergey Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes. He met and married the dancer Olga Koklova. In a realist style, Picasso made several portraits of her around 1917, of their son, and of numerous friends. the death of his young sister at an early age made him hate God which effected his style to a black and white syle, then a close friend died and he started the 'blue period' also during this time, PP's father sent him to UNI (only 13) he completed a what should take a year to complete 'exam' for entrance, in a week, but because he was with others people much older than him he couldn't settle. He was then sent away to a boarding school.
