The colors of pellets are not especially important. If you bring a pellet to the Onion of the same color, it will release a number of Pikmin seeds a bit larger than the number shown on the pellet. If you bring a pellet to an Onion that is not the same color, you will simply get a number of the corresponding Pikmin equal to the number on the pellet.

If you collected enough ship parts, you blast off into the atmosphere. If not, you die and turn into a Pikmin.

The red pikmin don't have names their just red pikmin, but if you like there is a famous let's player who calls it Steve so by all means do so yourself.

The original Pikmin had no way of switching between colors of Pikmin on the fly. To switch colors, you need to disband your Pikmin with Y or C for Wii version and call the appropriate color to you.

You can alternatively hold the throw button and press the whistle button.

Bomb rocks can be picked up and used by yellow Pikmin to destroy stone walls.

Olimar named the Pikmin such because of their similarity to the red, blue, and yellow pikpik carrots in his favorite soup.

You get the Whimsical Radar in the Forest of Hope. It is visible on the second map. The radar is a ship part and you get it by traveling to the bottom-right area of the map, on the top of the stage. It is right near where you get the yellow Onion. It is on the top edge of the pathway, and you need to throw Pikmin to get it.

The main characters are Olimar and the red, yellow, and blue Pikmin.

There will not be a Pikmin released for the DS. Pikmin and Pikmin 2 were originally released by Nintendo exclusively for their GameCube console, however both games have been upgraded with the 'New Play Control!' to enable them to be played on the Nintendo Wii. Nintendo has confirmed they are working on Pikmin 3 for the Wii which is coming out somewhere near the end of 2009 or beginning of 2010.

There will definitely not be a Pikmin game for the Nintendo DS. There is only one planned release of Pikmin, and that is Pikmin 3 coming out for the Wii. No other announcements have been made, but many have stated that there will be no Pikmin DS.

Although the game may make Pikmin appear as slaves, they are in fact not. The Pikmin go off on their own business until Olimar arrives, and they choose to join him. Without Olimar's leadership, they easily fall prey to other creatures on the planet.

Promoting slavery would not be something on Nintendo's to-do list. The game was meant to be one of the first Nintendo based games where a player could lead an army (in this case, creatures called Pikmin) to defeat larger enemies and ultimately make the Pikmin world a safer place (although not the intended goal).

Since the Pikmin games do not use sprites, they are none to be found. There may be unofficial custom sprites, though.
