1944 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Sheet of Paper I do not know what you mean by "one sheet" If you mean one sheet of paper (blank) then the value might be based in value somewhere between a signed Index card to a 8 x 10 Photo. The size of the "sheet" will also factor into the price.

Signatures will vary in price based on condition, the type of authenticity that accompanies the signature, the item signed, and how well the item displays the signature.Baseballs are the most common, and preferred by collectors because of it's connection to the game, low cost, availability and it displays the signature well. The signed baseball represents the average price for a signature, and by deducting or adding from this price for the Item signed accordingly will give you a good idea on value.

The lowest priced signed item would be for a "cut Signature." A cut signature is a signature on a piece of paper, or "cut" from a larger piece. Index cards are the next step up, and both sell at a fraction (about 10%-20%) the price of an autographed baseball. Autograph photos typically sell at about 40-60 percent the price of a baseball with bats, uniform Jersey's and equipment selling at a higher price due to the higher cost of the item, rarity and display.

In general if an autographed baseball is worth $100. the same autograph on a 8 x 10 photo $50. a cut signature $20. on a bat $150. The percentage of the price could also vary based on the popularity of the player, and how sought after the signature is.

For a signed Sheet of paper the value might be between 10-30 percent the price of the baseball. the value might be less If the paper is browning due to age. How well the signatures stand out in contrast to the 'sheet" will effect the price as well. Value is based on average prices of recently closed auctions. The more complete the item with key signatures the more valuable. Signatures that are not properly authenticated could sell at half the market value or less.

There are 85 different just in the 27 year period from 1956-1982, and there are three or more different for virtually every year in that 27 year stretch including five different from one year. Different publication include Jay publishing Co., official Yankees first editions, 2nd editions, 3rd editions, and revised editions. A 1978 New York Yankees yearbook with the World Series Trophy on the cover is worth between $15.00 - $20.00 Value is based on average prices from recently closed auctions of publications in excellent condition. Issues in mint condition or in less than excellent condition will sell higher or lower accordingly.

Common flaws include: rips, creases, staining, and loose pages. Condition is important, and even minor flaws could devalue the yearbook significantly.

There are two editions for the 1978 yearbook. The first edition roster page (p. 40) dated March 22, and the second edition dated June, Has no indication on the cover of being a different edition.

First editions in the case of yearbooks normally sell for less because they are sold throughout most of the year, and more are available. The added editions are printed at the end of the season, and are more rare. The second edition for the 1978 Yankee yearbook sell for about $5. more than the first.
