This question needs clarification. What is this person seeking?
ACADEMICS
If you are looking for strong academics virtually every prep school, in New England or elsewhere, offers some advantage over a public high school.
PRESTIGE
There are many schools that carry a certain level of prestige and cachet in social circles. Some of the most notable are Phillips Exeter, Philips Andover, St. Pauls, St. Marks, Groton, Middlesex, Deerfield, Choate Rosemary Hall, Taft, Kent and Hotchkiss. Most of these schools are members of either the Independent School League based primarily in the Boston area or the Founders League based largely in Connecticut.
COLLEGE PLACEMENT
This varies by year. Each school's web site will usually list college placement for the prior year or two.
ATHLETICS
Many students choose New England prep schools for their athletic programs. They offer some sports that are rarely found in public schools such as lacrosse, squash and crew. Also, many of these schools have outstanding rink facilities and excellent hockey programs. The Founders League in particular has a high level of competition. Of those schools one stands out for having won eight New England division one prep championships, Avon Old Farms.
Yeah, tons!!! I go to boarding school, and mine is really cool!
A lot of International schools are boarding schools and you meet people from all around the world and it makes you a very well rounded person. Very good!
to arouse the interest of students
Boarding school can be a great place to meet new people and to have fun while you're at school, but day school is also a good place to go if you don't like being away from your parents or you have great friends where you are. Both are really great, but boarding school can be really fun and you get really close to the people you meet there.
ANSWER
One cannot say that boarding school is better or Day school in comparison, while both are effective in producing good results in terms of academics, extra-curricular, social interactions etc but for some parents it's difficult to give extra-care and time to their child from the drudgery of their routine, and also due to other reasons they send their children to boarding.
There are number of benefits in a boarding School.
1) Daily coexistence leads to friendships, not just among students, but also with faculty members.
2) Low student-teacher ratio. The median class size is 12 students per teacher, with a student-to-teacher ratio of 6 to 1.
3) Boarding school reduces compartmentalization, because academic studies are blended with other activities, such as sports. This natural juxtaposition increases the appeal of both pursuits.
4) Provides stability not available in families where one or both parents travel or are virtually never home due to work schedules.
5) Safety of individuals residing in boarding school is typically higher than non boarding school age students in general.
6) Special help programs are often available.
7) Students enjoy more challenge and face fewer harmful distractions. If the student's public school options are rife with bad influences or lack diversity, boarding school may be the answer.
8) Students learn to govern their own behavior. And parents no longer have to seem like ogres or nags. In many cases students appreciation for parents greatly increases.
9) Where earlier generations have attended the institution, a family tradition is sustained -- becoming an additional source of motivation
10) Some schools have summer sessions, possibly also open to students of other schools. These sessions often feature special concentrations such as academic or computer instruction and/or the fine arts. Some offer sports and/or rigorous outdoor training during the summer.
11) Some boarding school offer a post-high school graduation development program, which can provide additional opportunity to mature, perfect academic polish and further develop themselves becoming better prepared to be an adult in today's world.
The cost to build a boarding school depends on the size, building materials, and the time put in to build it. It also depends on where you are planning to build the school.
There were no conventional schools. Churches provided education and only very wealthy families could afford to enlist their children, boys and girls.
Well, my name is Alicia and I currently attend Andover. I was accepted to both Exeter and Andover, but I obviously chose Andover. My brother goes to Exeter right now and he tells me that it is very tough and busy there. He tells me at the campus is wonderful though.
Exeter is a pretty tough school to go to and it is very stressful too. He says that getting an A is quite impossible.
Well, again, I don't quite know about Exeter since I am a current student at Andover.
But hope I had helped!

A bachelor's degree in most areas can require between 124 to 128 college credits particular to a specific program of study. This would be based on a college or university that operates on a regular two semester academic year which is the most common. For institutions that operate on a tri-semester or quarter-semester it would be quite different. That being said, the Bachelor's degree - in most cases - is designed as a four year program of study, provided the student is full-time and follows their chosen program of study as prescribed by the college or university, and also provided the individual does not require prerequisite or developmental coursework as a result of basic skills testing. The minimum credit load for a full-time student is no less than 12 credits per semester. However, to complete the degree within the four years, a credit load of approximately 15 to 18 credits is recommended. For individuals who work or who have other responsibilities that would prohibit them from attending full-time, completion of the degree may take twice as long. Still, some of this time can be cut down by attending summer sessions and/or interim sessions. In addition, the bachelors and associate degrees are referred to as undergraduate degrees while the Masters and Doctorate degrees referred to as graduate degrees.
A regular school would be defined as a traditional mainstream school. It can be private or public. An alternative school uses nontraditional methods of teaching. Their programs feature a curriculum that is more flexible and diverse.
Pilgrims Pre-Preparatory School was created in 2000.
Boarding schools tend to be beneficial to trouble teens since they involve calm atmospheres and well needed structure. They often include art and athletic classes for example as well as counseling.

At my school two years ago, 75% of the entire team had repeated a grade. It simply allows for the player and team to be bigger faster and stronger. But overall the number is lower, but if I had to give a percentage, I would say around 50%.
