Will a 220 V 50Hz rice cooker work in 220V 60 Hz circuit?

Some devices are frequency sensitive and thus they will only work on a power supply whose frequency is the same as the set frequency. So, look on the cover of that rice cooker and check for the label which shows the voltage and power rating of the cooker. On that label, there must be it's frequency too.

Also, most devices have been designed such that they are universal i.e they can operate at a frequency between 50-60Hz.

How do you cook parboiled rice in a rice cooker?

I have found several different recipes for this.

One is to use the 2 cup per 1 cup ratio. This is the popular one. Another one is that your boil 1 cup of rice in 6 or 8 cups of water for 15 minutes. Drain and add back into the saucepan at 1 ¼ to 1 ½ cups water, bring to a boil, turn down to simmer for 20 minutes. Take the saucepan off the burner and let the rice cool for 5 minutes. Fluff and serve.

Some rice cookers offer several settings: white/mixed, sushi, porridge, sweet, brown, rinse-free and quick cooking. Check your rice cooker for the correct settings for the rice. You can use several different types of rice in the place of white rice for the recipe:

Using the rice cooker is always an easy way to go because with the rice cookers you have recipe booklets that come with it and there are also several good rice cooker cookbooks available.

How much water in a rice cooker for calrose rice?

Calrose rice came to life out of a rice experiment and was released to growers in 1948. The name Calrose comes from two ideas. The Cal was for California where the original experiments were created and the 'rose' indicates medium-grain shape. Calrose rice has gone through a lot of changes and experiments through the years and the original grain does not exist today.

What we have today is a grain that is referred to as sticky rice and is used in Sushi. Everywhere I have looked on the internet and how I cook Calrose rice is one cup of rice per 1 ¾ cup water. This works also for the rice cooker.

What is the current AMP of a 220V rice cooker?

The amps it draws depends on how big it is. Typically 2-12 amps. Check for a manufacturer's plate that shows the wattage Most of the load in a rice cooker is a resistive heating element, so the amperage will be quite close to the wattage divided by the voltage (220 here).

What makes rice spoils easily in the rice cooker?

Hygiene problems; quick & easy answer. You see all those nooks and crannies in the rice cooker? The linings, channels and wedges that make up the components of the cooker? All those are hiding places for the gunk that comes from cooking the rice, and cleaning it after the fact is a challenge for most mortals. And it tends to get worse with age and usage if the rice cooker user doesn't maintain impeccable hygiene, which means cleaning the cooker fastidiously and sanitizing it with bleach etc without compromising the electronics. Tall order huh? Yes and no, but the cleaning has to be done.

The Fred Flintstone solution is to go back to the tried and true. Simple pot, timer and good old vigilance. My bet: there is little that a rice cooker can do that can't be done with the above-mentioned, except leaving the rice to steam 24/7 which is a bit of a cooking aberration if you ask me.

After my rice cooker croaked I junked it and reverted to the ol' Flintstone method of cooking rice and I couldn't be more happier. The rice doesn't spoil in 24 hours and yes, now that I have learned my lesson, I clean my pot fastidiously with every cookin' .Upside? It's way easier than trying to get into them nooks crannies. *Cee-Max

Electric rice cooker operation in open-loop or close-loop circuits?

if we set timimg for cooking rice then it is open loop
but thermostat in electric cooker can not give more temmp, than 100deg. so some microprocessor is controlling here .thus in this case it will act as closed loop system.

Why is my rice cooker is not working when you plug it in?

check the switch or if you have had it for a while it could have warn out. or if you havent used it in a while

Your Rival Automatic Steamer and Rice Cooker Model 4450 keeps switching off even though there is adequate water in the unit What is the problem?

Two possibilities that I can think of: 1. The thermostat is malfunctioning. 2. A buildup of scale in the water bowl does not allow for enough heat to transfer to the water before the heating element reaches the cut-off temperature.

I recommend buying a new cooker and using distilled water instead of tap water.

How does a rice cooker works?

when the water is all gone, the rice is done. water boils at 212 degrees F, so when the temperature rises above that, then the cooker knows the rice is done. let it rest, covered, for a bit - the residual temperature will ensure it's all cooked nicely.

Does the rice cooker warming feature keep rice with eggs etc. at a temperature that will not spoil the rice and for how long?

I like to eat rice that has been chronologicaly ordered, then pressure cooked for 7 hours straight. Afterwards you will be left with a strong white paste which can be then mixed with Eggs a teaspoon of maple syrup, and empty corn husks. The corn husks must be devoid of 'corn' and should before hand, placed into a powerful mixer until such a corn husk pulp is made. You may then mix it all together, adding some baking powder-milk-pork fat-and scraped meat gristle. You must then take the entire concoction and place it into a pressure cooker again for another 7 hours or so, adding more milk before hand until it is of a paste consistencey. When you remove your masterpiece it will look a bit like taffy. You must now take it and mix in 1 tablespoon each of speazed orange juice, lime juice, taco sauce (whatever brand - in the end you wont taste it after it blends in), and finally and most importantly, powdered clove/clove oil, Put in a pot 1/half filled with a premade concoction of 1 part fat, 1 part, 1 part cucumver juice, 3 parts oily green been juice from green beens in a can (do not add the green beans). Mix thuroughly and let sit for 1 hour. place in microwave oven for 4 minutes then VERY IMPORTANT mix in a cup of ice. Mix well, then repeate microwave-ice down 4 more times. BY this point a thermal-chemical reaction will have taken place which will entirely change the way this dish tastes. Now make a large batch of scrambled eggs and mix together 1 to one with what we have made. stir until it has a single consistence then surve with cucumber slices-weat breat(you can use other types of grain bread to your discretion-the fanier the bread, with the more unique texture the better). Make sandwhiches out of this dish. It is called AMBROISIA and has been rumored to put the eater into a state of religious extacy -due to its unique and heavenly taste. -Please let me know how it goes, many people have been killed/or have killed to get this recipee. bhornbuckle75@yahoo.com rice is good
