I believe so. I think he is writing another series about Greek mythology. He is a FANTASTIC writer of the mythology. He shouldn't stop. Besides, i think he is stopping with Percy because he is getting old (in the last book he was 16) and they need a fresh character.

Otherwise Rick Riordan has another book out now called The Kane Chronicles: the Red Pyramid. Then, if you don't feel like reading these books there are other books like: Mythology (an information book on Greek Mythology).

In "The Last Olympian," Percy doesn't cause the earthquake that releases Typhon. Typhon is a monstrous giant who breaks free during the Battle of Manhattan. Percy and the other demigods fight against Typhon to protect New York City.

The copyright date in the Last Olympian is 2009. It doesn't give an exact day, it only says the year. This is what it says exactly, "Copyright C (C is in a circle) by Rick Riordan".
