Rise Against- Savior (Lyrics)
It kills me not to know this but I've all but just forgotten.
What the color of her eyes were, and her scars or how she got them.
As the telling signs of age rain down a single tear is dropping.
Through the valleys of an aging face this this world has forgotten.
There is no reconciliation that will put me in my place.
And there no time like the present, to drink these draining seconds.
But seldom do these words ring through when I'm constantly failing you.
Like walls that we just can't break through until we disappear.
So tell me now...
If this ain't love than how do we get out? Because I don't know.
That's when she said I don't hate you boy, I just wanna save you while there's still something left to save.
(Ooh Ooh)
That's when I told her I love you girl but I'm not the answer to the questions that you still have.
(Ooh Ooh)
But the day pressed on like crushing weights.
For no man doesn't ever wait.
Like memories of dying days that deafen us like hurricanes.
Bathed in flames we held the brand, Uncurled the fingers in you hand.
Pressed into the flesh like sand. Now do you understand?
So tell me now...
If this ain't love than how do we get out? Because I don't know.
That's when she said I don't hate you boy, I just wanna save you while there's still something left to save.
(Ooh Ooh)
That's when I told her I love you girl but I'm not the answer to the questions that you still have.
(Ooh Ooh)
(Instrumental)
One-thousand miles away, there's nothing left to say.
But so much left that I don't know.
We never had a choice, this world is to much noise.
It takes me under.
It takes me under once again.
I don't hate you.
I don't hate you, no.
So tell me now...
If this ain't love than how do we get out? Because I don't know.
That's when she said I don't hate you boy, I just wanna save you while there's still something left to save.
(Ooh Ooh)
That's when I told her I love you girl but I'm not the answer to the questions that you still have.
(Ooh Ooh)
I don't hate you. I don't hate you, no.
Their tour schedule does not show them coming to Toronto, CA in the next six months, their schedule doen't extend past that time period. They did make a stop in Toronto on July 31, 2009.
The song is about the things that our society does wrong. The song is protrayed well in the music video:

They're not still producing music but Tim McIlrath the lead singer in Rise Against originally had a band called "The Killing Tree" they have some really good songs, more screamo.
ALSO: Sum 41, Simple Plan, The Offspring, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, Skillet, LoveHateHero, and Atreyu. Hope it helps!
Edit: They have released a new album, so yes, they have gotten back together, and they are currently touring internationally.
Some of Rise Against's biggest accomplishments are the release of their most recent CD that sold over 2 million copies Appeal to Reason. On the CD Siren Song of the Counter Culture, one of the accomlpishments was the the song Swing Life Away. Some more are the releases of all their CD's in order. The Unraveling, Revolutions Per Minute, Siren Song of the Counter Culture, The Sufferer and the Witness, and Appeal to Reason, featuring one of the best songs by them, Savior.
They don't there not a rock band
"This Could be Anywhere in the World" is a song by Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. The vocals are sung by George Pettit and Dallas Green. The studio version of this song does not include Tim McIIrath or any member of Chicago based Rise Against.
You can buy it on iTunes or you can get it through websites like Rhapsody but downloading anything for free as a rule is highly ILLEGAL! This is piracy and you can be prosecuted federally for it. Plus you are essentially stealing the musicians because that money contributes to their earnings.
Tim McIlrath(vocals), Joe Principe(Bass), Zach Blair(Guitar), and Brandon Barnes(Drums).
Well they just released their new album, Endgame, in March so not for at least a couple years. They usually produce a new album every 2-3 years.
From what I have heard, two are Christians, one is Jewish, and another is agnostic. As odd as this sounds, it very well might be true. I say this because their music does not focus on religion, but on other issues such as animal cruelty and such.
Rise Against's lead vocals has always been Tim McIlrath.
Tom McIlrath is married to a woman named Erin. They have two daughters named Blythe and Scarlet and live in Chicago with a dog.
No, they're all straight edge, but for one member who drinks "often enough."
Siren Song of the Counter Culture (2004) and The Sufferer & the Witness (2006) have both been certified Gold by the RIAA, meaning they have sold over 500,000 copies each.
The question isn't why they're a good band, the question is why are they so popular. The answer is because they have different uncommon themes to their songs and portray them in not-so-obvious ways. Their songs make one think about things they perhaps hadn't thought about before. They also write songs about things that most bands wouldn't even dare to say let alone sing.
Rise Against has released 6 albums and 1 EP. In 2001, The Unraveling was released. In 2003, Revolutions Per Minute was released. In 2004, Siren Song of the Counter Culture was released. In 2006, The Sufferer & The Witness was released. In 2008, This is Noise - EP and Appeal To Reason were released.
I've always considered Sevendust, Chevelle, and Rage to be similar.
This is taken directly from the album booklet.
break through the undertow
your hands i can't seem to find
pollution burns my tongue
cough words i can't speak so i
stop my struggling
then i float to the surface
fill my lungs with air
then let it out
i give it all
now there's a reason why i sing
i give it all
and it's this reason why i sing
rock bottom's where we live
and we still dig these trenches
to bury ourselves in them
backs breaking under tension
for far too long these voices
muffled by distances
its time to come to our senses
up from the dirt
we give it all
now there's a reason why i sing
so give it all
cuz it's these reasons that belong to me
breathe the air we give
the life we live
our pulses racing distances
so wet my tongue
break into song
thru seas of competition
so please believe your eyes
a sacrifice is not what we had in our minds
I'm coming homes tonight
home tonight
we give it all
this is the reason why i sing
so give it all
and it's this reason that belongs to me
today i offer up myself to this
I'm living for my dying wish
i give it all
now there's a reason
there's a reason
