There is a SUPER sad part in irobot. A man imagines how he lost his family. We see 2 cars in the water. His whole other family dies but the man is saved by a robot.
What events spurred the development of robots?
Human curiosity to conquer planets and other spheres scientists persuaded instead of a successor to the space to be able to send human exploration operation he was here that the Construction and Development robot began.
What does the field of robotics involve?
Robotics involves the creation of intelligent electro-mechanical machines
Are robots stronger than humans?
The robot would probably flip the human right over. Yes, robots are stronger than humans. You can't squeeze them but they can squeeze.
There is lots of automatic machinery that qualifies as robotic, but there are no robots in the science fictional sense of a machine that looks like a person and can function in essentially the same way that a person does, or can replace a person for general purposes. There are lots of machines that replace people for very specific purposes. Robotic technology is constantly improving.
Are robots from robotshopcom good?
It depends on what you are trying to do with robots. If you are trying to get into robotics (the subject of this category), then I would not get started with the robots or parts from the shop you mention. I would start with one of the Lego kits that include NXT brain. You can then gradually move to more complex robots. I would also look at usfirst.org to see if you can get involved there.
Who first discovered the Robot?
The idea of a robot was written about in science fiction stories far before anyone invented a real one.
Most people feel that writer Isaac Asimov created the first real robot in his stories. Asimov also created the 3 laws of robotics, which are used today by scientists who are inventing artificial intelligence computers for robots.
The 3 laws:
1. A robot may not harm a human, or through inaction allow a human to be harmed.
2. A robot must obey humans, except where obeying would violate law #1.
3. A robot must protect its own existance, except when that would violate law 1 or law 2.
What is the main use of a telepresence robot?
The main use of a telepresence robot is to be able to chat to someone and for your questions to be answered immediately and not have to wait hours for a response via email or have to go into a store and ask questions in person.
How do you build a robot that can be programed by a computer?
Most robots are software controlled and hence just about any robot involves programming. If you are a beginner here are some options:
1) Lego Mindstorms with just lego parts. It comes with a brain named NXT.
2) You can also use NXT with a Tertrix kit
Why are humans replaced by robots?
Because us humans are getting really lazy and all the technology is getting better and smarter so we have the powers to. I say why not as long as we don't eliminate the human race that god created!!!!!!
A robot system is a kind of scripting
Using mobile scripting programs like C++ Or java script.
They script the robot to do different movements.
And more.
A fact.
a Robot is using Cameras
And speakers
to see and Hear,
see this robot learning to recognize objects
A robot that is programmed to work on its own without any human control (usually remote).
What do the letters x y and z have to do with robotics?
If you are designing a 3 dimensional coordinate system to define the robots movements then you might use these three letters to define each axis of direction (3 axes perpendicular to each other)
What are the five major fields of robotics?
human-robot interface, mobility, manipulation, programming, and sensors. Hope I helped!
Who fell in love with a robot called Eva?
Wall-E, the main character from Disney Pixar's film by the same name, fell in love with Eva.
Will robots replace humans in the future?
Someone has been reading too much science fiction or seeing too many horror movies.
Robotic devices are already performing many of the routine tasks that are either too dangerous or too repetitive, but people are necessary to make the decisions regarding what work should be done and how to maintain the robotic systems.
Answer:
It is a matter of degree as far as replacement. Robots already have replaced humans for doing simple mindless repetative tasks on assembly lines, and the voice you talk to on a telephone when contacting services is often a robot generated system primed with frequent responces. However the chances of meeting a "replacement human" made of chips and stainless steel that is self aware are still unrealized.
Writers like Vernor Vinge and Ray Kurzweil have have predicted that there will be a "singularity" at some time in the future when machines will be aware and human/machine crossovers will be common. this is not yet realized.
