How do you brush your teeth?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Using a soft-bristle brush (or rotating, or ultrasonic), brush away from the gumline thoroughly, on inside (lingual), outside, and chewing surfaces. The aim is to remove soft accumulations of bacteria and tartar before they harden into plaque (which would harbor enamel-damaging bacteria and irritate gums). Flossing between teeth is highly recommended, and newer disposable holders make it easy to grip and slide.

How do you get the mechanics to inspect the roller coasters in Roller Coaster Tycoon?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Getting mechanics is exactly the same way as getting Handyman and Security Guards. In your park there will be a bar up the top with options, click on the picture of a handyman. There will be a picture of mechanics on the top of that window. Click on that, then click hire mechanic and place him in your park.

How do you fix a crashed roller coaster on roller coaster tycoon?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

I found this on a website, however it doesn't HELP with this situation. (I wrote how to really fix it, see below)

Use the following trick to avoid demolishing an entire ride after a crash. Once the ride crashes, the light will turn red and the ride will stop. A mechanic should appear and fix it. After he fixes it, press the "Stop" button twice, then the green button. If done correctly, the ride will start again.

If a ride crashes some people will begin saying that it is not safe and they will not go on it. To fix this problem, just demolish the ride and build the same ride over again.

As for the real answer--

I've found that deleting the station platform and then rebuilding it "resets" the ride. You can even put the entrance and exit in the exact same place and it'll be fine.

Hope this helps.

When did the roller coaster come to the US?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The roller coaster was designed and patented by Edwin Prescott of Arlington, Massachusetts on 16 August 1898. It was named by the U.S. patent office as "the pleasure railway." The first design was a simple one which included just a single circular loop. The design caused an uncomfortable shock to passengers as the car entered the loop, so was hardly a pleasure to ride. Subsequently, in 1901 a loop-the-loop centrifugal railway was patented by Prescott. The new roller coaster was more comfortable to ride as it replaced the rough approach to the loop with a gentler curve, and had other modifications to improve the overall ride.

What happens to gravitational potential energy as a roller coaster moves down hill?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Yes. As the car goes down the hill, the potential energy decreases and the kinetic energy increases. However, not all of the potential energy becomes kinetic energy. Some of it is lost to heat and sound energy.

Why did they call the roller coaster a roller coaster?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The first roller coaster was actually a coal mining car in NY in 1895 that ran 18 miles down hill and would hit a 100 MPH. People came up to the hill where it was located and rode it down. Roller coasters became popular after WW1 and there were over 2,000 built in the United States in the early 1900's. In 1927 the Coney Island roller coaster opened. The early roller coasters were very dangerous and many people got hurt on them. They are called roller coasters because wheels are used for them to coast on a track. It is all done with gravity.

How tall do you have to be to ride a roller coasters?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

It depends... Some roller coasters, such as the Deja Vu coasters at various Six Flags theme parks have height limits because of clearence issues. If that is not the case, comfort is also an issue. On classic Arrow looping coasters (Such as Demon at Six Flags Great America), leg room is not something that is very abundant. Also, you may have problems with your shoulder harnesses if your torso is long. The best bet would be to ride mostly on coasters with lapbars and ample leg room (B&M Hypercoasters are EXTREMELY good for this, such as Apolo's Chariot at Busch Gardens Europe) If you aren't sure, call the park ahead of time, and they'll be able to answer your questions.
