How many replacements can be made in rugby?
If you refer to full substitutions then 5 maximum.
If you talk about temporary "blood replacements" - unlimited
Where a key position (front row player) is strategically substituted and that substitute thereafter becomes injured, the original play can be brought back on - This is for safety reasons. If there is no specialist front row player to do this then another player may be used in the front row but scrums become uncontested.
Where a key position (front row player) is "yellow carded" (sin binned) a substitute player may be brought on to take the position for the purpose of scrummaging. However, another play has to leave the field of play so that the headcount remains one short. Again this is done for safety reasons as props and hookers are specially trained in the positions they play.

Why aren't girls allowed to play rugby at a certain age and boys can?
In truth, many women and girls are quite competitive and skilled players, and can be said to belong on the team more than some of their male counterparts. But because of the logistical issues mentioned above, or some preconceived notions ofincomparableathleticism between the sexes, many organizations will have a "separate but equal" team for female players, which erases those concerns.
If a girl or woman is quite skilled in soccer or any other sport, she is highly encouraged to try out for the boys' team if the school or club will allow it (and you might be able to make a legal stink of things if they refuse). Most recreational clubs will be happy to give her the chance, bearing in mind the logistics. Women playing traditionally male-dominated sports is not meant to be easy, but can be very rewarding for the player and also for inspiring others to do so!

In 1934 the Moscow Championship was started, and in 1936 the first Soviet Championship took place.
The game was more or less banned for a number of years in the Soviet Union because of an incident in a final in Moscow, when supporters of Llanelli and a Bucharest team were involved in a braw. In 1949, rugby union was forbidden in the USSR during the "fight against the cosmopolitanism". The competitions were resumed in 1957, and the Soviet Championship in 1966. When the Soviet Union broke up, there were two main consequences - firstly the loss of a much larger pool of players and fans, and secondly, the defection of many players to rugby league, which had previously been frowned on by the Soviet authorities. The two main areas for Russian rugby were to be Moscow and Siberia, and to a lesser extent, Leningrad/St Petersburg.
The most notable Russian player perhaps is Dimitri Mironov who played for the Barbarians several times during the 1980s
