Peter Chung, along with Klasky and Csupó, co-designed the characters and directed the series pilot, "Tommy Pickles and the Great White Thing," as well as the opening sequence. The production was completed in 1990 and they submitted it to Nickelodeon, who tested it with an audience of children. The feedback for the pilot episode was primarily positive. With that, the series went into production. Chuckie and Angelica were added as characters.

Rugrats was a great show from 1991 to 2000, when it 'jumped the shark'. From 2001 to 2004, Rugrats was run by a couple of new artists who introduced Dil and Kimi to the script. I would not recommend this movie for sure, as it was made in 2003, when Rugrats decreased in popularity. Although, all Rugrats movies are nicely done.
