Selena Quintanilla mainstream success was always there but she really became part of that "world" when she one her first Grammy in 1993 another thing that was her mainstream success was the announcement that an English album would be coming soon and last was when her songs "dreaming of you" and "i could fall in love" came out, her movie was also a great impact in her success. one sad thing that happens with every artist is that even though Selena was already really famous her death forced her into this worldwide icon or hitting the top of the "mainstream success"
