No Unfortunately not. The only figure from the Giants game that work in Spyro's Adventure are the series 2 figures. Series 2 figures are characters that were in the Spyro's adventure game, but then reposed for the Giants game.
If you are in any doubt, check the side of the packaging and there is a little picture with a cross/tick showing whether the figure will work in Giants or Spyro's Adventure.

it depends how the batteries are connected.
if you put the batteries both in positive side up you probably have a 1.5 volt system.
if you put one battery positive side up and one down you probably have a 3 volt system.
Check to make sure before you connect anything because you can damage the the water pump by connecting it to the wrong voltage or by reversing polarity.
if its a 1.5 volt system you have about 2000 milliamp/hours at you disposal
in a 3 volt system you have about 1000 milliamp/hours at you disposal
find the the time in hours the water pump will run on a new set of batteries will last.

Well if you mean that you get in the starter pack I would say gill grunt, because his harpoon is very effective. But overall I think the best is between lightning rod, ignitor and drobot. Probably ignitor is the best since he has full strength at 100. Hope I helped...
